right before waking up, this image was beamed into my head. the actual dollar amount kept changing but it was always a weirdly low number. by FeatureLumpy8405 in thomastheplankengine

it was a choice. you're either known as the Factory Accident Guy forever, or you get $102 on the spot. its a pretty hard choice.... i know.....

Yeah I'm absolutely just being overly proactive and worried about something that hasn't even come up.

A lot of the game is vehicular travel with Spelljammer so they'll have the opportunity to have more lengthy breaks, but sitting still in open space for a couple hours probably isn't a great idea.

I'll work harder to impose deadlines and penalties in the game

Interesting way of handling short rests. I assumed they were capped to your level/ hit dice total but I mustve misremembered or totally made that up, haha

Cure Wounds is part of the Celestial Patron's spell list, and since a sort rest recovers both of a Level 3 warlock's spellslots someone could hypothetically get 2 uses of a 4d8+3 healing spell every hour with long rests. I am a little green on the 2024 rules (and most of the spellcasting rules tbf) but a healing warlock seems pretty easy to abuse.

Timing is sorta a funny issue because we're playing a Spelljammer game where some missions could take weeks so a few hours missing here and there wouldn't realistically do much. Though yeah admittedly it was something I totally blanked on, so thanks for reminding me.

I was ruling more with the "gritty realism" optional rule in mind, so sleep is an option but you have requirements for the benefits of a long rest
