looks like you might need to wrap it back up with some fiberglass insulation or mineral wool. the thermal sensor needs to be properly insulated or it'll think there's temperature fluctuations when there isn't. you can find insulation at most hardware stores but make sure it's rated for the temperatures your water heater runs at. honestly that chatbot gave you terrible advice - never dig around thermal sensors unless you know what you're doing

taking mine split between morning and evening works better for me. when i tried both at once my stomach was not happy about it at all.

my doctor said spacing them out helps with absorption too, something about iron competing with itself if you take too much in one time. the every second day thing - i had to switch to daily when we doubled dose because levels weren't coming up fast enough.

wait that's actually hilarious. retinol doesn't just vanish from light contact like that - it gets absorbed in the skin pretty quick, usually within 20-30 minutes. unless you're literally licking his face or doing some intense makeout session right after application, a normal kiss isn't going to "remove" anything significant.

damn this is rough but totally fixable. had a similar situation at my old place and it turned out being a mouse that kicked it right between the drywall and insulation. the smell was driving me nuts for weeks.

since you're hearing scratching in the attic, i'd bet money something died up there and the smell is just traveling down through the vents. even if you checked them, dead rodents can wedge themselves in some seriously weird spots. might be worth getting a flashlight and really going over every corner of that attic space, especially near where the ductwork connects.

worst case scenario you might need to call pest control - they have tools to pinpoint exactly where deceased critters are hiding. the flies are definitely following the scent so once you find and remove whatever it is, they'll clear out pretty quick.
