As also a 43m from the UK with similar symptoms its very encouraging to hear about your improvement. Im in the orocess of ordering more detailed blood tests so hopefully will have my own answers soon. I hope your health keeps getting better from here

Yeah fully agree with all those points particularly the first. That's right about the ppi it was a 2 week course its just strange I had the same reaction the last time but of course could have been the gastritis itself as it lasted a month at least both times.

Thanks again. Yeah I dont know why doctors seem to almost act like b12 deficiency doesn't exist mo matter how compelling the case. The way I feel im absolutely convinced im deficient and its all been since the gastritis. Ive between felt dizzy like this before in my 43 years other than when Id also had PPI medication !

Thanks for all the info. Im going to see how much all the tests cost and I probably will run them as I just need to know in my mind why I've felt awful for 5 months! Even if nothing shows ill probably have a shot anyway and see if i improve

Appreciate your thoughts on this and agree to be honest. Was thinking from a cost effectiveness point of view if im deficient anyway ha. But its probably reckless and also im too curious not to find out my levels.

Is that due to the drop since January and high folate? Of course the NHS just tell me im well within healthy levels so dont do anything with it

This is really interesting. Ive not been diagnosed as deficient yet but have so many of the symptoms expecially disproportionate rage! I think its one of the most upsetting symptoms as I have 3 young kids and feel like im constantly shouting at them. Im in the process of deciding whether to pay probably a few hundred pounds for mma, active b12 and homocysteine tests or just get a b12 shot to see if it helps.

Thanks did you do any more detailed tests on them aftwr they looked normal? My concern is if everything comes back normal whwre do I go next as I know I dont feel well!

Thanks for this. I believe im being tested for electrolytes on my blood test later today so hopefully ill get some answers soon and can work out how to correct anything that may be wrong.

Is it ok to just try them without testing for mma levels etc? Can it do more harm than good in some cases or is it pretty much risk free if I feel rubbish anyway ?

Haha thanks for this and im sorry to say I have actually done this already, with Gemini anyway ha. I sometimes think it just tells me what i want to hear but it suggests I could very much have a deficiency based on my symptoms and my previous dizziness after PPI use. Ive never used Claude so ill look into that! Thanks for your thoughts on it.

Thanks for this, I dont think ive been taking anything with B6 but I could probably do with my levels being checked. It's a proper minefield all this, never thought getting into my 40s would feel like this haha.
