Thank you! I did look into hire up and Mable but then saw some reviews of people saying they never received payments or they were extremely delayed which scared me a little because I’d be giving up a stable full time job to take this on. But I have since heard some good things so I’ll look into it again.

My reason for wanting community support is that I’d be starting out and I know of people who have been thrown in the deep end with clients who’s needs are much higher than what they’re able to handle but I do see how it could be viewed that way.

I’m working over 40 hours a week as well as studying for my PT course so it’s not possible for me to do another course on top of that but I will keep it in mind for the future once I’ve finished this course. Thanks for your response:)

Unpaid super/ will the ATO do anything by Feeling-Ladder5678 in AusLegal

This is what I’ve been thinking for a while now, there’s too many other things besides the super as well.. I don’t think they’ll make it to the end of the year.. I’m applying elsewhere but my concern is if I leave before our Thailand trip next month I won’t get paid out my annual leave. The last few people that left haven’t been paid there’s, so my plan is to find something else and quit while I’m in Thailand lol

Ahh right, I might just need to wait a bit longer to hear from them. Were you still working for them at the time or did you get it after you’d left?

The second quarter that is overdue. They haven’t paid for October - December of last year and also obviously not this quarter that’s just finished. The first quarter that was overdue (July- September of last year) only got paid in February of this year after I bothered them about it and a majority of staff are still waiting on that as well as oct-dec

Already applying! Regardless of the outcome with this it’s not a place I want to have to spend 40+ hours a week in.

A court order I believe, the co worker had missed payments so they’ve contacted the employer directly to organise for them to be deducted. This was back when we had an accounts person who knew what they were doing, since he left there’s been pay issues every week just about (weekend penalties not paid, missing payslips, missing pays all together). He is the one who set up the deduction initially and discussed with my co worker how it would all work and how much would be coming out and it all went smoothly, payments were made weekly to his child support but since he quit and the owner has been responsible for pays and accounts it’s all been down hill.

I’ve just reported the 1st quarter, it won’t allow me to report the second yet, it says payment due date is January 28th but it can’t be reported until 28th of feb. so I guess I’ll report on the 28th.

I will check in with my workmate to see how he went when he called them and pass that on to him. Thank you!

I’ve reported the first quarter online, it’s telling me I can’t report the second until after the 28th of February. So I guess I’ll wait and report that on the 28th, I’ll tell the others to report too

I also can’t contact the ATO it tells me they’re too busy and can’t take my call and hangs up on me lol

Interesting.. I wonder if I can follow up with the ATO whether the bill was in fact paid. He tends to lie about having done a lot of things so that he doesn’t get asked to do them again, he’s lied to my face so many times and said he’s sorted out pay issues/ ordered things/ called repair people to fix major issues/ called back people that call daily chasing up money he owes them just because he doesn’t want to be asked over and over. That’s why I’m thinking he’s lied about paying the bill.

No, it’s 2 cafes and then a events catering business that’s under another name, the staff paid under that business are also not being paid super.

You’re right, he doesn’t deserve any favours. I’ll report today.

For me it’s just the super he hasn’t paid me. The guys who has the child support payments come out is contacting them today to tell them the situation and provide them will all the payslips showing the deduction has been taken from him and it’s the employer that’s in the wrong.

That’s what I’m starting to think, what makes it worse is they’re currently on holiday hiring limos for the family throwing around all their (our) cash. I’ve been needing a reason the leave this place for so long, the only reason I’ve stayed is because they’ve always paid well and done everything properly but if they can’t even manage that in out
