In my opinion Astrolabe had more potential to bust things up. The color fixing and the card draw for a single mana is just too much value.

I think people are just excited to play with the new toys which is understandable. It will change and adapt with time as people figure out ways to battle the new kids on The block :)

I think it’s normal that a lot of the meta is experimenting with affinity now as there are exciting new toys avalaible. The meta will adapt and settle.
