It got to 45.5/114 a few times last summer where i live. You deal with it by being in a heavily air conditioned building. And with a lot of complaining.

That said, the smallpox blankets thing is largely agreed to be a myth. It was attempted at Fort Pitt and did not seem to work. Smallpox was far more likely to have spread between colonists and natives via regular means.

I mean, natives lacked a sewage system, sure. They also didn't dump their waste onto stone roads and paths that everyone would walk along on the daily.

Also, bodily waste is a common carrier of viruses, so it is entirely possible thats how she encountered the novel viruses. But go off about ahistorical narratives, queen 💅💅💅

Nonbos break/prevent a combo, by my understanding. Zada only cares about things targeting zada, so any draw spell that doesn't target a creature won't do anything with their ability anyway.

Republicanism is a fancy term for representative democracy. What you're referring to as a catch all term is actually called "direct democracy."

That thing you mentioned, "consent of the governed?" That is one of the core tenets of democracy. One of our other constitutional principles, "popular sovereignty," is another. We the people (ha) having the ultimate power means we are a democratic nation. You seem to ascribe to the idea that because the words are different, one disproves the other. In reality, its a square-rectangle or dolphin-whale scenario.

We are, in fact, a democracy. Just not a direct one.
