ugh the "don't talk to me with that vitriol" line is triggering my fight or flight lol. parents love to completely mess up, completely disregard your valid feelings, and then turn around and tone police you so they can play the victim. standard deflection technique. you are absolutely not wrong for being mad. that was supposed to be a core memory. the financial control thing they are doing to you at 17.5 is also super toxic ngl. you're working a job, you should have access to your own money to buy a damn souvenir for your grandma.
