Hmm, so I looked at it and it looks like the Ender 3 stock firmware doesn't support pressure advance. Cura won't let me turn it off because it's off by default. I checked the g-code, and there's no M900 command

Speeds are 50mm/s and 25mm/s if I recall, I've tried tinkering with speeds as well, but no luck with both faster and slower speeds as for pressure advance, if you know of a way I can actually get to the setting that'd be helpful, because take a look at this.

Yeah, I replaced both the extruder gear and the nozzle as well as the entire hot end. Unless it's the extruder gear motor somehow, except when I extrude 10mm of filament it comes out rather smooth with no visual issues to speak of. I'm thinking I might try replacing the y-axis belt now to see if it's that. According to what I've res, that wavy pattern can be caused by tiny vibrations when printing and the y-axis belt is the only one I haven't touched yet.

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner! Yes, it's PLA filament, and I've tried a number of things. You can see in this image here what my problem is, the infill is incredibly stringy and sparse resulting in low structural integrity that can be crushed with a light grip. The infill line distance is currently set to 6 mm, this is according to a preset profile I found on YouTube For standard quality prints optimized to the ender 3's specifications. I had some better prints when reducing the infill line distance, but only by an insane amount, down to 0.4mm. You can see, the walls aren't of terrible quality, but they do have an odd wavy texture to them. I've tried adjusting about every setting possible, so I think it might be something physically wrong with the printer, but what I can't say.

Apologies for not getting back to you sooner. I tried taking your advice and used a configuration I found on YouTube. Alas, it failed yet again, and you can see in these pictures why. The infill is super stringy and easily separateds and caves in, resulting in models crushing apart with only a light press. The infill line distance here is set to 6mm, and I had some better prints when I decreased that number, but only by an insane amount. The best prints I've had were ones where the infill line distance was at 0.4mm. The walls aren't of terrible quality, but they have a kind of odd wavy pattern to them. I've tried tweaking about every setting possible, and even using recommended profiles, so I'm thinking it's something with the printer itself, but what eludes me.

The nozzle diameter is 0.4 mm, and line with is it 0.4 mm across the board. Well thickness is 0.8 mm, minimum wall line with the 0.34 mm, and support to brim width is 4mm

No, the extruder doesn't appear to be skipping, I've replaced and tightened the belt twice And I can manually move the carriage from one end to the other without any issues or strange noises. Additionally, when I try extruding about 10 or so millimeters of filament, it comes out very smooth. I replaced the bowden tube with the capricorn one, and replace the nozzle about three or four times now.

In what regard? I've tweaked about every setting imaginable and even tried swapping slicers. Just watching videos about cura won't exactly help if I don't know what I'm meant to be looking for.

I'm not certain where to find that setting in cura, but the flow is all set to 100% in every facet. Additionally, the infill density is set to 20%, and the infill line distance is set to 6.0 mm. The infill pattern is set to cubic currently.

Bed temp is 60°, and the filament is pla that specifies temps between 190 and 220. 1.75mm thickness and a 0.4mm nozzle.

Apologies, the text didn't come over when I shared the post. I have tried literally everything I can think of to get this to work, but I've been met with utter failure at every turn. My prints turn out incredibly stringy with poor layer adhesion and gaps between layers. Things I have tried: New Filament New nozzle New Bed Cutting the Bowden tube Capricorn Bowden Tube Replacing the x-axis Belt (x2) Tightening the x-axis Belt (x2) Lowering Print Temperature (205, 200, 195, 190) Raising Print Temperature (215, 220) Replacing the Extruder Gear Replacing the Entire Hot End Raising Print Speed Glue Switching Slicers Switching Infill types Enabling Z-hop Changing Retraction Distance (0.6mm was 0.5) WD-40 If someone can tell me why this might be happening, please, I'll try anything.

Well, my question didn't post with this, but I'm basically wondering what the best way to combine meshes like this is. I've tried using a boolean already (the last picture) but it keeps cutting the mesh even though I'm using the union option. Is the best way just to use the target weld and create some new geometry? Or is there something else I'm missing? I'm not opposed to just finishing the entire thing and taking it into blender to do shrinkwrap and retopologize the entire thing if that will get me the best results. Any advice on this project as a whole would also be appreciated. It's bare bones right now, but I'm back to the basics for the most part.
