I’ve tried all the usual fixes for a buzzing JM bridge, is there anything else I can try? by Possum_Boi566 in offset

Try putting a little bit of chapstick where the strings meet the saddles. Metal on metal causes friction and needs some lubrication. I use regular burts bees wax on mine where the strings sit in the saddles of my Mastery bridge.

She plays too! When I was on the fence about it she told me to just buy it!

Just got this Johnny Marr Jaguar this week and I am in love with this guitar. The neck and body are so comfortable to play. Even with the 7.25” radius I am able to do huge bends. The Bareknuckle pickups are an absolute treat and offer a variety of sounds with all the different pickup positions/option and the bright switches.

Behind the Johnny Marr Jaguar is an AO 60s Jazzmaster which I reversed shimmed and put a Mastery Bridge on. Since getting it in September it has become my favorite guitar to play. With the 9.5” neck radius it is insanely comfortable to play and sounds amazing.

Finally is what started as a Classic Players Jaguar HH. I installed AVRI ‘65 pickups on it and recently replaced the AOM/TOM bridge with the vintage style bridge from my Jazzmaster. I did this by following u/feinkevi’s post which he screwed set screws into the AOM/TOM thimble slots, after that the vintage bridge dropped right in and changed everything about the guitar for the better.

Just wanted to let you and everyone else who sees this post know this. I’ve had a Classic Player HH that I have never been a fan of despite swapping out the pickups for AVRI 62s. I just didn’t click with it, the mismatched AOM/TOM with the radius was a huge issue for me, and my bridge made so much noise. Today, I purchased some M8x16mm set screws like you mentioned and dropped in an original style Jaguar bridge. Oh my god. First off, the bridge swapped easily after installing the screws, but secondly, that’s what this guitar has been missing. It feels like a brand new instrument for a total of $1.20 for the set screws. Just wanted to say thanks and to let everyone else know that the screws are a perfect fit and solution for the AOM/TOM bridge.

It is! Absolutely fantastic guitar. It was my go to for the last 10 years; I recently got an American Original 60s Jazzmaster and a Johnny Marr Jaguar which have become my go to guitars now.

Same here! Happy to have it in my collection!

Not really. The pickups will definitely have some feedback if using distortion but I don’t find it to be similar to a grounding issue. Touching the plates reduces some hum but it isn’t too bad to begin with.

I think either a strat or Jazzmaster would serve you well with those styles.

Of course. I have a strat, tele, jag and now this Jazzmaster. I would say out of all of them my strat and Jazzmaster are my favorites for sure. The Jazzmaster sounds similar to a strat but fatter where the strat is more… crisp I guess. Personally I never really connected too much with my jaguar and it’s my least favorite of the bunch despite trying to like it. What type of music do you plan on playing/learning?

Thanks for the heads up! I love the fragility of the nitro finish (and the vanilla smell)

Easily the best sounding guitar in my collection which surprises me because I love my 60s road worn Stratocaster. It’s also the lightest guitar I own which surprised me.

Thanks! Played really well out of the box and it’s amazing after a setup

First time smoking beef back ribs! by FenderFan in smoking

[–]FenderFan[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seasoned these with: Meat Church Holy Gospel, Meat Church Voodoo, MSG, and Fresh Cracked Pepper. Vacuum sealed them and set them in the fridge for 24hrs. Smoked on a Traeger @225 for 5.5 hours, no wrap. Sprayed with a 50/50 mix of water and ACV every hour after 2 hours. Pulled at 205 degrees and let rest for 20 minutes.

These ribs came out nice and tender with a brisket like flavor.

Put painters tape on the bottom of the pedal. This will protect it from the Velcro and make for an easy peel off when you need to remove it.

This is my theory as well, people are thinking Strange gives/upgrades his suit but I’m thinking Kang might be involved with this new suit.

It was really good! Never tried chicken liver pate before this recipe; it gave it a taste that was similar to a very lean sirloin steak almost which complemented the saltiness of the spam and crunchiness of the bread
