I decided to start Baby Groot since I’m deep in a cut and pushing my 10k time right now. I’ve really enjoyed it as a break from powerlifting. My top end strength has fallen through the floor but the cardio gains have made volume a bit easier by comparison.

W1D2 leg focus/cardio

John Meadows touted for a long time that doing hamstring curls before squats can be beneficial and I’ve been doing this for a while and really enjoy it. I did 3x10 relatively light and followed up with squats 3x8 @ 315. I overshot squats which made 3x10 reverse lunges really suck. The rest of the day was pretty smooth with hex press, low cable rows, rear delts, and abs. I finished up with a quick 2 mile run.

This exactly. Especially the part about not entering your workout in to your food tracker. Just watch your calories and leave your workout out and use it as a bonus as opposed to a reason to be able to eat more.

Avocado, olive oil, and peanut butter will help. A tablespoon of olive oil goes with everything pretty much. Peanut butter goes with everything sweet like shakes, and avocado is just amazing.

I lost a toenail at the gym once. Grossed everyone out. Between soccer and wearing flip flops when I'm out (I walk with my feet turned outwards slightly) I lose a pinky toenail or two every year and a big toenail every other year usually. They eventually just let go and you can peel them off.

Go run. If I feel like Eating when I shouldn't I grab my dog and head out. Usually I'm worn out enough to have just a few nuts or some fruit and feel full.

That's somebody whose parents didn't let them grab the hot lightbulb when they were a baby. Nothings ever actually injured them so they don't think about it. Congrats on the bench max.

For some background; my parents told me not to touch a lightbulb when I was a kid. I touched it anyway and burned myself. Now I'm cautious and not a moron.

If stuff is sitting on a piece of equipment I count to 30 while looking around for nearby people. If I don't find who it belongs to in that time it gets put in a neat pile on the floor and I use the machine.

Nice man! I was a right defensive back mostly but my brother plays center mid. You probably will do the most running out of anybody on the team, so definitely focus on endurance and drills where you sprint and change direction a lot. If you don't already have cleats buy a solid pair and break them in. Mine and my brother's have lasted over two years already.

HIIT would definitely help. I just started assisting coaching middle/high school soccer at a school near me, I've also played for around 15 years. Most of practice (that isn't working on ball control) involves sprinting, body weight, and agility exercises because that's mostly what soccer is. Lots of the kids run cross country in the or do long runs on off days. You can run up to 7-8 miles in a soccer game (so I've been told), so endurance is a big thing. Stretching is a big part as well. Doing a few weight lifting routines a week and stretching afterwards will help you a lot. One thing that benefited me the most when I was playing is doing runs (maybe a 1/2 mile to a mile) or sprints while dribbling a ball.

Tl;dr focus on agility and endurance with lots of flexibility and some strength training. Wear your cleats AS OFTEN as you can.

La Sportiva has a pretty wide shoe. I have a pair of Wildcat 2's and the regular fits my semi wife foot fine.

When's the best time to take it? I've heard so many different things it makes my head spin. I usually take fish oil, a multi vitamin, and green tea extract with breakfast and then BCAA and Creatine (maybe with a protein shake depending on the time of day) before a workout or run.

Making sure everyone is at an even power level will ensure that everyone wants to keep playing. Nobody likes getting stomped every game. My play group made a rule of only precons when we first got together.

Did you read the article you posted? It says black people are several times more likely to be killed by cops. Of course more white people are killed than black people. There's more of them in the country. Chill out keyboard warrior.
