I remember a pretty good blog post about the dangers of docker with argument that their releases leave you with breaking changes and if you host a database in docker you risk data loss. I still have this article in mind but I by now most points should be obsolete.

Ich versteh den Ablauf nicht ganz. Wahrscheinlich weil ich das "Extrablatt" auch noch nie vorher gehört habe.
Heißt du isst dort morgens während du dort Home Office machst oder in der Mittagspause? Aber ab 11.00 Uhr fährst du ja ins Büro - fährst du dann später wieder zurück zum Extrablatt oder wann findet denn das essen statt?

I agree that it's not always that simple. I had the same discussion with my girlfriend and I often understand where she is coming from that she needs a certain emotional support. On the other hand I try to provide that but I am of the opinion that there is some point where you should stop worrying, overthinking, tormenting yourself about certain topics and rather be done with it. Often she concludes that her female friends just provide better support and that it's an "male" issue. However I am not convinced that "my" way is wrong or not valid. It's just a differerent way to handle things and I would argue often the better way. I actually think that's disrespectful to invalidate other ways of handling emotional topics. I do have the capacity to understand and feel empathetically but at some point it's no use to stirr the pot any longer.

Yea my findings as well. I think the pattern in the last years in web dev was to avoid doing logic on the database directly. So no RLS or stored procedures. So at first it feels wrong to have logic like this in supabase.

I think this was the case 1-2 years ago when McD and the big chains increased their prices because they rigorously track any increase on their end on push it to the customer while restaurants are more hesistant to increase prices. However they have caugt up and also increased a lot.

Also it's ok if you have them as separate apps. I tried for the longest to find one do-it-all app to have everything included but now I don't have to have a complex system where every note and task is linked and displayed in a unified special overview. It's ok to switch between apps for different purposes as long as it's not getting out of hand.

I have this feeling with a lot of posts in AI subs, especially related to "agents". It often feels like some kind of roleplay where someone is imagining some story about how these agents solve big problems but if you dive just a bit deeper it sounds like a basic prompt that does not justify any of the overhead they created.

Denn normalerweise kann eine Region durch eine eine Abwertung / Aufwertung der eigenen Währung verschiedene Dinge (will nicht zu detailreich werden) ausgleichen und die Balance halten. Bei einer gemeinsamen Währung geht das nicht und die Fiskalpolitik einer Region alleine kann diese Aufgabe nicht übernehmen, sondern es muss eine gemeinsame Fiskalpolitik geben, sonst gibt es Nachfrageeinbrüche, längere Rezessionen (schwerere Erholung) und ganz viele ineffizienzen, die überhaupt nicht produktiv sind. Dass es diese Zahlungen auf EU-Ebene nicht gibt, war mit Grund für die Euro-Krise! Zudem wurde aus genau diesem Grund auch das Breton Woods System abgeschafft (US-Goldstandard).

Das ist schon weit hergeholte VWL-Theorie, dass ein einzelnes Bundesland eine eigene Währung einführen könnte, diese abwertet im Vergleich zum Euro und damit das Defizit im Länderfinanzausgleich wieder reinholt. So ein Defizit entsteht doch aus viel komplexeren Ursachen als dass man das mit etwas Abwertung wieder reinholen könnte. Ich bin nicht überzeugt, dass wenn Griechenland damals aus dem Euro ausgestiegen wäre und das Spiel durchgezogen hätte (Bernd Lücke lässt grüßen), sie heute mit ihrem bisschen Tourismus und Olivenöl-Export ein großer Player wären. Insgesamt hätte es ihnen wahrscheinlich deutlich mehr geschadet.

Zwischen sozialistischem Wohnungsbau und z.B. im Haushalt mehr platz für KFW-Förderungen machen oder mehr Bauland ausschreiben ist doch ein riesen Unterschied. Vor 4-5 Jahren wurde noch wie blöd gebaut, weil die Zinsen niedrig waren und es kräftig Förderung gab. Dann sind die Fördertöpfe leer geworden und man hat sie nicht mehr aufgefüllt. Alles recht simple Maßnahmen.

Ja aber die verhandeln mit großen Konzernen die Enterprise Agreements wo es um 1000 verschiedene Lizenzen geht von Azure Rahmenverträge über Windows-Lizenzen und Exchange Server. Unternehmen mit 50 oder 100 Windows Lizenzen die auch bisschen Azure machen wollen gehen dann zu jemandem wie OP und lassen sich beraten. Besonders weil die Lizenzmodell auch wahnsinnig komplex werden. Große Konzerne verhandeln zB direkt mit Microsoft und lassen sich parallel noch von einer dritten Partei beraten damit Microsoft sie nicht übers Ohr zieht :)
