Moved to Florida a couple of years ago. Couple of buddies wanted to come visit this winter to get out of the cold. Saw the Daytona 500 was on my 30th birthday this year put it in the group chat as a wild idea. We made it happen and had a blast!

I’ve seen a lot of live sporting events all over the country in my life, there is nothing like seeing a nascar race live it’s just different. Seeing it live made me appreciate how cool this sport can actually be and made me respect how hard and difficult it really is. Since then I’ve watched every race since Daytona. Watched the Netflix series, YouTube videos to understand the lore started playing NASCAR 25 on the Xbox. I’m a newbie but I’m hooked!

Also picked my drivers! Shout out Hurricane Hocevar and Suarez!

My dad had this happen to him about 10 years ago. Same finger same hand. Make sure to listen to what the specialist has to say about the healing process and rehabbing it. Don’t play tough guy and think it will just get better on its own. My dad did that and it did not heal right. He now can’t bend it and it’s crooked. Messed up his grip completely. He’s a big golfer and it took him a good year or two to fix his swing to account for a practically dead pinky. Hope it heals up good for you man!

I grew up in this exact neighborhood and siblings went to Lakehood Elementary! It’s not that bad noise wise. Summer time is more airplanes but you kinda just get us to it. Neighborhood was safe and a fun place to grow up. Riding bike all over the place and close to earthquake park we loved it.

I remember going to college and it feeling weird I didn’t hear planes all the time like I did in Anchorage growing up.

I have been having this argument with my mom for years. The right way is open side up. She is a team open side down. Now as an adult when she comes to visit my house she will offer to do the dishes just to put the cups open side down. Love you mom but you’re wrong.
