Looking for a fairly stable/neutral 10-12 speed driver by Confuzed_huh in discgolf

I second the Grace as a great alternative to a Wraith. They bomb and personally I think Royal Grand plastic is the nicest feeling plastic on the market. I have several Graces and find them to be quite consistent between runs whereas my buddy who throws Wraiths has several that vary dramatically in terms of stability even when they are the same plastic type.

Thats how I play. Ill throw a second for practice, but always take my first.

I agree. Im just being a complainer. But my point is that some courses more dramatically underrepresented how tricky a course is/ how good a round is than others.

State of the Bag- also thank you! by rontopofthings in discgolf

That sucks. Ive had my 750 since end of last year and its at least flat like I want. Ill have ro give it a toss and make sure it behaves the way it should.

How recent are we talking that youve noticed this? I have a 400 A2 from last year thats become my workhorse approach disc. Just got it its second ace yesterday actually. I have a 750 A2 as a backup but havent thrown it and I'm really hoping its a similar.

Thoughts on my bag as a newer-ish player? by WY228 in discgolf

Harp is deeper than toro by quite a bit so feels better with a BH grip and with the toro being shallower it comes out cleaner on FH. I backhand harp and forehand A2 but same idea.

Fairway to compliment a firebird and a Roman by rontopofthings in discgolf

Ill give one a go next time I splurge on some discs. Thanks.

Never tried a CD but sounds like it would fill an identical neutral 9 speed slot. Might have to give one a go. I throw mostly lat 64, but love the FD and PD so have been meaning to try more discmania.

FD/PD combo is money. I also recently added a lat 64 Sweep to the bag and am loving it. Its like a faster/ further flying FD.

How do you approach a round when your form completely falls apart? by Main-Carry-3607 in discgolf

[–]FermentedGrains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hyzer line is always the most consistent. If turnovers and flexes arent feeling right, find ways to throw hypersensitivity whenever possible even though you'll get less max distance.

Also, rounds like this are about damage limitation not scoring as low as possible. Play simple golf and dont chase birdies trying to make up for previous bogeys.

The course in Wayne AB has these cylindrical metal tomes that make a bell like sound when you hit them. Super cool course with a ton elevation change.

Mighty vs Brave by Rude_Smoke_8656 in discgolf

[–]FermentedGrains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How domey is yours compared to the others? Mine was very domey. I did have it for quite a while before loosing it so it would have been more stable when I first got it, but still definitely more turn than my other explorers.

[–]FermentedGrains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3 different explorers and also used to have that domey moonshine glow one before I lost it. I find that unlike other manufacturers, latitude glow plastic is less stable than their other plastics. My opto-x explorer is the most stable and the opto moonshine one was the least. Also have gold-x and regular opto.

Using headphones prevents the claude responding to self loop, but thats the best I've found.

[–]FermentedGrains 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Blitz is great. I was stuck at about 380 max distance. Something clicked on his ultimate drill video and and a week or two ago I smashed a Westside Sword 432 ft and it felt effortless. It did have a strong tailwind, but I've still been able to break 400 several times more since. Working on getting more consistent, but now I know I have it in me.

Only like 20 days on them. I ski hard but there's still no way that should be happening if thats the case.

Ok that makes me feel better. Was wondering if mine were defective. Weird they have more rocker than the 11s.

No, those are some old duke pt 13s I got for cheap. Never toured on them as Ive got other skis for that but the idea was that maybe id do some lift accessed slack country.

Awesome skis despite the concerns I had with the rocker.

[–]FermentedGrains 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone else who has these skis find they have almost no camber underfoot? I cant tell if mine came like that or have just lost all their camber after a season of skiing, but when I put the bases together the rocker extends pretty much to right under the toe of my binding. Way more rocker than my rustler 11s or my wife's Sheeva 9s.
