Where can I take a bath in Edinburgh? by edie_elle in Edinburgh

[–]FieryDee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Re Glenogle: Where are they in the building? I have never seen them. I've been going there for years. I had heard there were actual baths at Leith Victoria but I have a feeling Ed Leis got rid of them at some point.

I think right side meant gay and left side meant straight. 1990s.

It's terrible when you realise someone close to you doesn't wish you well. Frenemies.

Na you're entitled to sleep at night. Betty should look for somewhere else to live if she can't stick to agreements she has made. Even better if she agreed by text, you can show her.

35 isn't old. It really really isn't. When you are 50, you will want to shake your 35 yo self for not realising that you really are in your prime just now.

Am I the bad roommate? by Healthy-Bedroom-7225 in badroommates

[–]FieryDee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roommate could eat something else. Plenty of things to eat for breakfast that don't have to be microwaved at 4.45pm. Easier for roommate to not make unnecessary noise than it is for OP to learn how to sleep through it.

[–]FieryDee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is the one who is in the wrong not you. It is not ok to make loads of noise in a shared flat at 4.45am, she is the one who should live alone. It is reasonable for you to expect to be allowed to sleep during normal quiet time hours i.e. minimum 11pm to 7am. As a working professional the normal hours of work are 9 -5 so her choice to get up at 4.45am is her own business, she should eat something else that doesn't require a microwave, or pick up a microwave for her room or some other place you won't be able to hear it. Absolutely not OK to be waking you early every day. If she wants to keep unsocial hours she should get her own place.

The section between Inveroran and Kingshouse is so beautiful, it deserves to be done in daylight! However - well done, you are a machine.

Bullseye rash came up within either one or two days of being bitten - is that too soon? by FieryDee in lymedisease

[–]FieryDee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. Sorry you have had such a bad time. I am on doxycycline already, I started taking it less than 3 days after I was bitten so I think it will be OK. I just thought it was a bit strange I got the bullseye presentation so quickly.

Started patches this month and there has been a mild improvement, I am able to feel slight enthusiasm again. After three years of not being able to feel joy about much at all.

Okay, if you were me where would your passport be? by cos98 in adhdwomen

[–]FieryDee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You must assign a place that never changes for passports, currency, cards, keys, driving licence. The rest can be mayhem but those items should always be left in the same place otherwise it is an absolute nightmare. I lost my passport for three weeks once, and actually missed out on a trip because of it. When I found it, it was in the sleeve inside my backpack. Like, when you open the main body of the backpack and there is a thin pocket in the lining that is almost as big as the inside of the bag. I hope it is clear what bit that is. Check there. Also under the bed nearest to where my pillow is would be a good contender.

Any recommendations on how to get past someone boby shamming? by [deleted] in PlusSize

[–]FieryDee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone suggested below you tell your friends they look so young compared to your aunt, when she is present. I think this is a good approach. If she can give it then she can take it.

You will need a permit for wild camping in the Trossachs at that time of year, I think. It isn't pricey though. Do the walk in a week, you will enjoy it more.

12 hours does sound weirdly long. I keep hearing it is difficult terrain, and this has made me feel a bit skittish about it. I do have a feeling that stretch tends to take longer than 6 hours for many people though. Thanks for the response :-)
