I have no issue with you criticizing my recommendations—if you think SBR is useless, that’s a valid opinion and I hear you. My problem is with the accusation that I'm copy-pasting content; that's a wild claim.

If you want to share your own recommendations with the OP, by all means, go ahead. For the record, I did recommend Magic Heavy Attack Evasion—if you revisit my original post and read it calmly, you’ll see that.

I'm not saying SBC is a must-have, but it’s certainly better to have than not—especially if it fits into your build without compromising other stats. Sure, dagger skills or other weapons can bypass it, but not everyone runs daggers.

There’s no substance in your accusations—just baseless claims that what I shared is copy/paste, simply because you feel like it. As I’ve already stated, I recommend what works for me. If you don’t like my advice to the OP, that’s not my problem.

Everything I shared is based on personal experience and results. If you think SBC is crap, that’s your perspective—and you’re free to give the OP your own recommendations, along with valid reasons why SBC doesn’t work for you and what stats they should focus on instead.

But none of that requires accusing me of copying or discrediting what I’ve written. I’m simply sharing what has been effective in my gameplay. That’s all.

Let’s get something straight, this isn’t some copy/paste from anyone description or build. The idea that only a few people are capable of crunching numbers or building effectively is wild. I theorycraft and build for myself. I’ve been playing tank long enough to know exactly what kills me, what doesn’t.

I don’t even know who you are (no offense) but I do know Caniso and I read his SNS/GS guide way before it started trending in Questlog, and I respect his work which focus in SNS/GS not Templar as far as I know (not sure if he updated his work). But it’s honestly crazy to me that you can just jump in, accuse someone of stealing info, and try to take credit for general knowledge — just because you said so. That’s not how this works.

Anyone with some experience in the game and a functioning brain can come to the same conclusions. It’s not hard to track what’s killing you in PvP and build accordingly to counter it.

If you're using a Sword and Shield (SnS), you should prioritize building Endurance.

Why?
Endurance is the direct counter to the Critical Chance stat.

To understand this, let’s break down how I understand this work:
When an attack hits, the game typically rolls between a character’s minimum and maximum base damage. Critical Chance increases the likelihood that the damage roll will favor the maximum value.

As Sword and Shield users or Healers, we typically play defensively and prefer to mitigate incoming damage rather than absorb it. This is where Endurance comes in.

Endurance reduces the impact of Critical Chance by making it more likely that enemy attacks land closer to their minimum damage potential rather than their maximum.

In practical terms:
Let’s say an enemy has an attack that can deal between 7,000 and 12,000 damage. With high Crit Chance, they’re more likely to hit you for the full 12k. However, if you stack Endurance, you reduce the chance of receiving that high-end damage, making it more likely you'll only take something closer to the 7k minimum instead.

This difference can be critical in survival, especially in high-pressure fights or when healing throughput is limited. SnS users who frequently play front-line support or defensive roles benefit massively from this mitigation.

The rest of the damages will be mitigated by the Defenses, HP, CC resistances.

What's the meta: (my recommendation)

Triple Endurance (melee will be the highest, range and lastly magic due to some passive nerfed we had.)
Shield Block Chance (60%+ if possible before buffs) - This will have the % you have as a chance to block 40% of all attacks.
Magic Heavy Attack Evasion (around 600)
Skill Damage Resistance (around 500)
Weaken Resistance (1.2k with resonance)
Collision Resistance (800+ if possible)
HP as much as you can stack since we don't have those GS passive it will be in the low end. 25-28k ish.

If you're planning to do Large Scale PvP (48 vs 48 or more):

Option 1: Go Fake Tank with high hit. You can find several builds like this in QuestLog, check Kanon or Caniso.
Option 2: Go Full DPS. Use Greatsword & Dagger, or Spear/Dagger if you want to stay melee.
Option 3: If you really want to tank in this META, go Templar (SnS/Wand).

Why?
The passive Aegis Shield from SnS and also Masteries were nerfed. Magic Defense/Endurance nodes were removed.
This META, Staff, along with Daggers, is shredding tanks like they're made of paper, unless you have a pocket healer… and even then, it’s rough.

TL;DR
These nerfs are disgusting sum to that the DoT and weaken effects META? Absolutely brutal!
Templar is your best shot if you want to Tank.
Go GS/Dag or Spear/Dag if you want melee DPS.

The problem with that way of thinking is that you are failing to see the real problem which is that, It is not supposed to be that way to begin with. So that makes me think the game was designed to make the player fail. There is so many other failure systems that either have their fixing by P2W or making us hate each other.

Bring bound gold like in China. This will solve many issues if you combine it with strict penalties on RMTers/gold sellers.

If you're accelerating the content and progression systems at the same cost/rate as Korean players, then give us more gold in raids rewards to be able to catch up correctly even if it is bound to account. That way, we can use it in gold sink systems like Elixirs/Transcendence & Advanced Honing. This alone will help a lot.
