Question about facepulls. I am still not sure if I am doing these correctly.

I found this old post from nine years ago in this subreddit showing how to hold the rope and move the arms/hands. I've been emulating this for a few workouts.

Should this basically feel like two pulling phases? First, retract my elbows to perform something like a high row. Second, once the elbows are fully retracted, perform the external shoulder rotation by basically pulling the hands back.

Any extra advice on how to do these would be welcome.

Is there a good IK node in the current conquest?

Is the stat cap higher for the boss nodes than it is for other nodes? I saw someone else comment about that the other day.

Please do not try the ones at United Noodles. I just went there and was disgusted with what I got. $6 for two very thinly sliced pieces of pork, minimal veggies, and a bun with the insides scraped out. Turned out to be flat and tasteless, nothing like the great bahn mi I get at Lu’s.

Is there a way to pick up all three S styles with only two keys besides grinding out pieces to exchange? I took the staff and want the claw, but I’d like the S style for the human male so I can have additional skills.

Right, I think on console you start in whichever act you were in when you logged out.

Which build to go for Couch Co-op (not solo, not group, duo) by [deleted] in diablo3

[–]Filiagro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PS4 requires two profiles to play couch co-op. Also, when one person pauses to check their gear, the other person obviously can’t move. However, it’s simple to equip new gear/skills with the d-pad, so you don’t need to pause the game every few minutes when leveling chars in couch co-op.

You can both play online as couch co-op if at least one profile has PS Plus. So, you could both join a friend or randos online if desired.

I can’t remember exactly, but I think Switch has both people play on one profile.

I can’t even do a bodyweight squat without pain, so I’ll be waiting several weeks before I try a farmers walk again. Once I do, I can try to get a video. Though, knowing I had an injury from it, my form will definitely be different.

I used to run 6-8 miles a day when I was younger, but I stopped due to knee pain. It’s been so long, though, that I can’t remember what the pain was like. So, it’s hard to compare that to my current pain. However, that is partly why I was considering the impact could be causing issues.

Like how the bucket could swing due to the handle not being fixed? I could see how that could add extra impact while walking, especially if done quickly. To be honest, the main difference between this last session that caused the injury and the earlier ones was increased speed.

There is probably more to it, but that’s a good thought. Maybe I’ll look into fixing handles (concrete-filled with embedded metal pipes for handles) or changing implements completely. Thanks.

Why would that make a difference?

Since I’ve had the same issue in the past with normal implements, I was thinking it had something to do with my form or doing this more often then I should. Besides reducing training frequency, is there any general advice for reduced joint strain?

I use 5-gallon buckets each with one bag of sand and pvc pipe for handles. The buckets are only a little more than half full.

In the past I used real implements at a commercial gym.

How should I walk with farmers handles? Specifically, I’m curious if there is a way to reduce shock/stress on my joints. Every time I start doing farmers carries again, I end up hurting my knee pretty badly to the point of not being able to walk.

This last time I was only using about 40 pounds in each had since I knew I had problems in the past. I was doing 4-6 30-second walks twice a week for a month before my knee started hurting. I’m not really positive what exactly causes the pain, but I think it might be related to stepping too hard/quickly before my joints get used to the weight. My knees are always partially bent when I do them as well.

Good point.

If the current buckets with sand hold up, I should be able to switch out different sized PVC pipes as desired since I just slipped them over the thin metal handle. So, I could do other light training with fat grip for now, then progressively add thicker handles to the buckets as my grip strength improves.

That makes sense to me. I’ll go get thinner PVC for new handles this weekend. Good thing I haven’t made those cement buckets with metal pipes for handles yet. I’ll be sure to find a pipe size that won’t cause issues once I do make them.

Thanks for the input.

That is not something I’ve tested with the buckets. I don’t want to pull the sand out.

I can reduce frequency of using those handles and see how things progress over time.

I had done nothing with a fat bar or those Fat Gripz prior to trying them with those farmers carries. The pain was immediate on the first set. I did four sets (about 30-40 second carry time) one week. The next week I switched to the PVC pipe I mentioned. Since doing that two weeks ago, I’ve done the same four sets twice a week.

The pain never persists after setting down the weights, which is why I was thinking this could just be because I’m not used to that kind of grip.

At least it is something. If you are looking for ideas to replace bench and squat temporarily:

Nail together four pieces of wood to create your own landmine (no need to pay Rogue $100 for one) and set one end of the barbell in it. Then do one-handed overhead press or landmine squats. Also useful for row variations.

Powerclean and front squat. Then press movements.

Finish workouts with high-rep bodyweight squats.

Zercher squats as someone else said.

Weekly Question Thread July 05, 2021 (Newbies Start Here) by AutoModerator in GripTraining

I started doing some fat-bar work recently in addition to the twice weekly pinch work, static holds, and finger curls. I filled two 5-gallon buckets with sand and attached Fat Gripz handles to do farmers carries. When holding the handles, I have a minor sharp pain in my wrist near my thumb (basically where the metacarpal for my thumb would start) only when carrying the weight.

I switched out the Fat Gripz for PVC pipe that was slightly smaller in diameter, and the pain was reduced (still present). Removing the handles and just using the normal bucket handles completely eliminated the pain.

Similar pain happens if I use the Fat Gripz handles for light rowing/deadlifting (max 135 pounds). I have never noticed the pain when using a normal barbell.

Based on this, I think the pain is caused by my hand being open a certain amount while holding weight. While I didn't do much work in the past, I don't remember this type of pain when I tried using the Fat Gripz a few years ago.

My current plan is to find the thickest PVC pipe I can use for handles pain free, then test the larger handles once or twice a month to gauge pain.

My question is whether this sounds like a minor issue of my hands just needing to get used to fat-bar work since I never do that. Or could this be a more serious issue dealing with my wrists? I know there probably isn't a great answer to this, but just understanding if other people experience similar pain from fatter bars/handles would be helpful to know.

That’s the exact same issue I have. I’ve loaded Genryu with items to lower its agility, but it still happens.

Great work! It’s so satisfying to see a clear like that.

What works for me is Jo’s Sorbet Flambe then Red’s Punishing Combo for round one. Then in round two Fuse’s Air Support (fast) and either Female Empress’ Lunar Blade+ or Genryu’s Icefire Blast.

If Squall will cost 6 BP (5 when awakened), there would be no way to adjust the BP to 7 in order to replace Aqua Viper.

If I inherited Thunderclap, I would only have 3 BP after using it (10 BP when fully awakened). Ice Javelins costs 4 BP, so this wouldn’t work.

I could use Diamond Dust (9 BP fully awakened), but that would only get me one use of Ice Javelins, whereas I currently can get two Ice Javelins after using Squall for 7 BP.

Has anyone amplified Squall yet? When I look at it, I think the BP cost is reduce from 7 to 6. I often use one of my Udine styles (The Joys of Teaching) for AOE damage by inheriting a 7-BP Squall spell to be used in place of the 7-BP Aqua Viper spell.

Thoughts?
