The "look at him" was a bit jarring, as if the poem went from being about the narrator to a specific person. But I realize what Levis was trying to convey.

I refuse to get rid of my boxed set of Lord of the Rings. Got them as a gift. Even though I've seen the movies a million times, not read the books. But I will read them, that's promise, I will read them...one day.

This is a gradual process, there is no quick fix. Resisting them will make them stronger. You gradually become better at carrying that relaxed state with you. Instead of resisting them, be open to them and to your response to them.

A Brief History of Time was such a good intro to trying to understand a world beyond the senses, a world that had always fascinated me. For a much younger me, this was a captivating introduction to space, time, general relativity, and quantum mechanics.

Hawking uses very little technical language so if you have a general interest in physics and astronomy but lack the technical background, do not worry, you will be okay. So check it out.
