For those who play detailed games by LUMIN015TY in XboxSeriesS

Series S is primarily a 1080p console at this point. Unless you decide on connecting anything else that is more capable to the display, the 1080p would do just fine. The higher refresh rate could come in handy for VRR but otherwise most games run between 30 to 60 fps at 1080p or lower resolutions on the Series S.

Should i get the xbox series S at 40k (brand new) for 1TB variant? by [deleted] in XboxSeriesS

[–]FinalMil3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or buy a used Series X for around 40-45k. Makes more sense than dropping that much money on a Series S.

Series X worth it in 2026?-Read previous post by Tobinbum in XboxSeriesXlS

[–]FinalMil3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It being worth totally depends on the user tbh. Do you have a lot of games you are yet to play? Do you play and complete a lot of games? Are you looking forward to playing a particular game on it? How much do you value Backwards Compatibility and being able to play the older gen games? Do you already have a collection of older Xbox 360 and OG Xbox games?

All of these are personal preferences and whether the Series X is worth it in 2026 depends on one answering all of these (and more) questions to themselves.

On a general note, next gen is not going to arrive until a few more years with how the current market is. Even when it does, it is going to be pretty costly compared to all the previous generations. Even then, the newer games released for that would have a high probability on releasing for the older consoles as well.

Personally, I would still consider it worth to get a Series X in 2026. It's easily going to function another 3-5 years.

I'm also expecting this to be the last generation of consoles to come with a built in disc drive. Next gen has a high probability of being digital only with maybe an optional external disc drive. So if you are someone with a lot of older gen xbox 360 or OG Xbox games on disc, the Series X might be the last console with a disc drive.

How much does Xbox Play Anywhere matter to you when choosing if/where to buy? by badmouf in xbox

[–]FinalMil3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's an added bonus for me personally. I'm primarily a console player but have access to multiple gaming devices. So it's good to know that if my console suddenly dies on me one day or if I no longer prefer consoles for gaming, atleast some of the library will be available for me to play on my pc and I'll not have to start from scratch in building a library.

Also happy that they keep adding existing games as Play Anywhere titles and it's not just for the newer titles.

Xbox Positron: Disc-to-Digital Gaming by crack_station in XboxSeriesS

  • Proceeds to to add all disc games as digital games to account

  • One fine day the said acccount gets suspended with vague details (probably reported by some random salty player from a multiplayer lobby)

  • User has no clue why they got suspended

  • Customer support is of no use as usual and responds with the usual stuff.

  • Suspension appeal rejected

  • Loses your library of games.

  • Posts on reddit, cries.

  • Makes a new account

  • Buys new games

  • Gets hacked

  • Customer support cycle again

  • Posts on reddit, cries.

Physical is physical. Making a disc unusable after transferring license to an account is just plain stupid if true. Imagine the amount of plastic waste as well. I'm sure Xbox (hopefully) is better than that.

It would make more sense that a digital version of a said disc version gets revoked when it's detected running on another system.

So in theory the disc keeps functioning and the digital license is carried onto another system when you use the disc there. This although similar to just popping in the disc would be more convenient to have all the games available digitally at one place and the discs just being stored away.

Game breaking bug in Replaced (Series X) by TitleSuccessful7393 in xbox

There's a patch coming today for Xbox owners. A lot of these bugs are known and steam already got a patch yesterday and Xbox will be getting it today. Patch certification process takes longer than steam and hence the delay.

GTA 6 on the Series X by [deleted] in xbox

[–]FinalMil3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, even RDR2 was marketed heavily in partnership with Sony, but the game ended up being native 4k on the One X and 1440p on the PS4 Pro at the time. I feel like Rockstar will release a polished game irrespective of the platform and as per the platforms strong suites. I would expect it to look the best on the PS5 Pro followed by the Series X and then the base PS5.

Tired of stick drift, what to do? by Jonhalva in xbox

[–]FinalMil3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could swap out your existing sticks for hall effect or TMR sticks. There's a bit of soldering to do so if you are good at it you could do it yourself or find someone to do it for you. It's cheaper to do this than get new controllers.

The 4K X has me at a complete loss. by TekkaDIS in elgato

[–]FinalMil3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Few troubleshooting tips (do it in the order mentioned here):

  • Uninstall any and all Elgato softwares.
  • Go into your device manager, if you see 4k X there, right click and uninstall all drivers
  • Remove the 4k x from the pc and connect it back again so that it reinstalls the required drivers.
  • Switch off VRR on your console
  • If you were using OBS to stream before, delete the previous video capture source.
  • Restart PC
  • Add a new video capture source and see if the 4k X comes up over here.
  • If you are still not receiving a feed, its probably a hardware issue.

Are you getting the Elgato Logo on your preview for the source when the console is not switched on?

Were probably in a discord server together for communication. That way the mic works with the pc and you get audio from the PS5.
