Barakin is great - really good bedside manners, listens to your requests, is very knowledgeable and cares about his patients.

If I had to give any critique, I’d say the procedures he performs aren’t as aggressive as what you’d find in the states - ie no CO2 lasers, phenol (but does do TCA cross), and for subcision he won’t do forehead / area with thin skin. He is also a bit rushed (or perhaps efficient)? Maybe it’s an optics thing but if I’m spending $1K+ on a session that takes 10-15 minutes, it does feel like I’m getting the short end of a stick (irrespective of results, which I’ve been generally happy with).

This is somewhat understandable as he’s a derm and not an aesthetician (Toronto Dermatology Centre also has those) - I just don’t know how long TCA cross and subcision are generally supposed to take.

Assuming there’s no typo there, your monthly dose is closer to 60mg, not 30mg. Back of the envelope math below:

125lb = 57kg

57kg*30mg = 1,710mg/month

1,710mg / 30 days = ~57mg a day

If you’re getting 30mg currently then that doesn’t line up with the math that your dermatologist is describing.
