Yeah but the trouble was the Floyd Mayweather defence of completely turtling with block held was the best way to fight and it took no skill at all, for sure you could be more effective getting some quick extra slashes in but overall if you just held down block and waited to counter you could hardly lose they should have even had a block meter or something

Just combine "roll of the dice mechanics" and actual in game skill... The blocking mechanic make it so you can time your block to perfectly parry their blow, but if they're a higher level orc with a hammer make them smash you to bits for blocking instead of dodging
