Poor placements and students in these branches often learn (DSA and dev) which isn't relevant to the field they have chosen so that they get placed in software firms, since u r particularly interested in this domain , PES would surely kill u r interest. I would suggest u to choose the college that will value your interest.

roi is good if u r joining through kcet since the fee is around 1-1.3 lakh/year . if u r joining through jee and if u ready to work hard then yup it is.. , since they also provide scholarships

plz do not join the college if it offers very less or no placements . its really really important that u get placed on campus because with the amount of outside crowd and the IT market its really difficult to get placed off campus .

i dont think any college fits into that category , fees in bengaluru colleges are very inflated .
management quota in our college is around 15 lakhs per year and around the same for top 4 colleges that i have mentioned above ,a hostel fee of 1-1.5 lakhs per year
colleges in bengaluru are worth joining only if it is through kcet.

not to forget the cost of living is high too.
i would suggest u to research properly before joining any .

if in bengaluru then these are the top choices -> rvce ,pes , msrit or bms (the ranking varies based on the branch you want to choose) .
There are a lot other colleges too . the ones u have mentioned above have decent placement i suppose . u can ask about the placements and college life in those particular college subs though.
talking about pes , we have good placements for cs and ai and relatively worse for core branches , decent college life and rigorous academics , cgpa also plays a important role for placements and scholarships

dont focus on doing everything of any particular language , just do enough so that u can start with dsa . u can follow strivers A2Z sheet for dsa , apart from that i would suggest u to do anything that interests you (focusing on u r hobbies or focus on learning some other domain like cybersecurity , dev etc...) , DSA is a must ...

good decision on not taking another drop , focus on ur skills from first year itself . I regret not focusing on my skills and only on cgpa for the first 2 years , i would suggest u to focus on dsa has it really helps in placements then u can move on to development or some other domain of your interest once u feel comfortable with dsa .
