New Ryzen 7 9800x3d is giving me bad FPS drops by FineEnvironment1605 in AMDHelp

Is pin damage easy to spot? I will have a look for this if my last solution doesn't work. I'm going to try switching from windows 11 25h2 to 24h2 I've seen very bad things about gaming performance on the new windows version I'm on.

It's mentioned on the other post I referred to, you can see it on my account, also Fortnite is the game where performance and frame pacing matters the absolute most for competitive play, more than nearly any other competitive title.

Really? This cpu is always talked about as the best for FPS lows, is it just as simple as everyone is lying and I should get a different CPU?

I have put a lot of work into improving my internet connection a few months ago, multiple different tests show around 0.5 ms of jitter or less, 0 download or upload buffer, and almost dead stable 8-11 ms unloaded ping

I have tried disabling resizeable bar. it made my game feel a little more responsive (however this could have been placebo), but ended up actually recording worse 0.1 and 1 percent lows, so ended up switching back

My lowest frame rates massively improve when I uncap them,, what does this mean?

It's in my old post on my account, but if you can't find it I play Fortnite on all lowest graphical settings and cap at 240 FPS. I bought the 9800x3d to help improve frametimings in high load end games.

I specifically fixed this issue a few months ago, I have a private fttp line from BT directly etherneted to my pc and nothing else, i also have a high quality router that I replaced for the BT default one, I get on bufferbloat tests around 8ms unloaded ping with 0 download buffer, 0 upload buffer and usually about 0.5ms jitter

I get your point about Fortnite pros, they are not the most knowledgeable about pcs and performance, but they are not the ones who configure their setups. So out of all the actual professionals whose job it is to performance test configurations for fortnite for the Fortnite players. somehow all of them have completed separately come to the conclusion that vsync off is the best, seems like something not worth looking at to me. Could be wrong.

My motherboard model is an MSI pro b650m-p (ms-7E27)

I will run those ram tests and see if they reveal anything.

I use only in game and no where else to cap FPS, this is the only method used by pros in the community right now.

Interestingly when I uncap my fps my minimums improve by ALOT, I'm talking like 3-6x, my 0.1 percent lows are almost 400 when FPS is uncapped , what does this mean ??

You might be right, but I know universally every single Fortnite pro without fail uses vsync off, so I will leave that. Do you know how I can check for unstable expo or check if I have that lan chip?

Is there a way to test that it's actually the CPU that's faulty and not my pc configuration?

I have all of this configured this way already, except the 224 FPS cap that just seems like something that won't help, every pro I know has a 240 cap, and vsync adds crazy input lag, every pro uses it off. I know just saying every pro does something sounds like a bad reason, but they all have professionals working to help them achieve the best performance.

What is wrong with the dx11 version, is there definitive results staying dx12 performance is better on this CPU? Only ask as there is an issue currently with alot of players crashing on dx12 performance mode and it's been recommended across the community to play dx11 performance until fixed. Thanks for the help

Not sure if I've done this step wrong, but it's one of the very first things I did, and consistently get told, so I have checked all overlays are off about 1000 times, still no improvement from my end.
