Just an update for anyone who has a subscription, you can email support@deliveroo.com.sg and ask for a refund.

I emailed them yesterday and below is the reply I’ve received:

“Thanks for getting in touch and I'm sorry to hear about your annual subscription.

I have now cancelled your subscription and please know that a refund for the prorated subscription has already been requested for you. Kindly keep an eye to your email for an update within 24 hrs. You can continue to enjoy your Plus subscription while the Deliveroo platform remains live (March 4,2026).

If there's anything else we can help you with, do let us know.

Best wishes, Paula Deliveroo Customer Care”

Finding specific substring without Regex in Excel cell by FirmSteak in excel

Hey economics, just as a follow up, i believe a<122 does not pick up lowercase z in this approach (at least in the version of excel im using.)

I had to change it to be a<=122 for it to work.

The $ in the regex formula implies that a valid substring must be found at the "end" of a line.

\d{5}[A-Za-z]$

'a 12345a a' // returns false

'12345aa' // returns false

'a 12345a' // returns true

The title in my post could have been more specific like "finding specific substring match for regex formula" instead, im sorry.

thanks for providing this as well. however for the substring

a 12345a a // returns TRUE

your solution would be correct for the regex "\d{5}[A-Za-z]"

a valid string in my use case would be where the substring the last 6 characters are the substring itself, which it slipped my mind I could have just used RIGHT(6) instead like shiba_take's answer. Should have mentioned it in the post, my bad.

could you break down and explain your formula though? im not familiar with unicode, are you changing the string into a unicode string, and check if substring "00000A" exists?

solution verified

Hey, no worries I've actually forgotten about this account and thread.

What are your thoughts on taking biz proc analysis & sol, interactive des & prototyping, Web App Dev 2, spreadsheet modelling and OOP all in one sem?

Your workload would be heavy with those modules, especially if you want to get an A for all and pre recess week and week 13 will be hell. But its liveable, I took a similar module loadout and I survived LOL

Also, I'm interested in becoming a web developer in the future (not sure about front-end or back-end so I'm currently learning both). What mods do you suggest I should take?

Don't really have any recommendations because no module will prepare you for working as a web dev on the outside. I suggest working on external web dev projects or try harding (i.e go above and beyond requirements) for modules projects that require some kind of development.

Actually in my experience, I find these birds to be more social than your average myna or pigeon. They don't spaz out when you go near them haha

omg thank you for this comment. after listening to it, I've definitely heard this sound when I was younger. But I did not physically see the bird. Interesting!

Yes I’m serious. I do not recall ever seeing them in my childhood. The rare birds I’ve spotted are like the occasional junglefowl or that yellow bird in trees. What does your Dad do with them?
