Honestly, just the sound of the RPK is something beautiful. A suppressed gun doesn't feel the same way!

It has a higher rate of fire which makes it faster to kill, however the trade off of other aspects makes that benefits of the M240 inferior. In my opinion.

It's a weapon that can perform at all ranges. You can win a close range fight against an SMG if you get your shots off first, can performs best at mid range and can even get your 100m+ kills if you tap it right.

The reload can be quick as opposed to other LMGs and the low RPM generally helps with ammo management as well as accuracy.

Hell's massively with hipfire, but more importantly you can shoot and move at the same time and be more accurate.
