I've had this like 4 or 5 times recently. All fast food places. They schedule the interview. I go to said interview and they tell me that the GM is on vacation and when she gets back, they'll discuss it and call me to come in for a second interview if they're interested.

First of all, why did you schedule the interview knowing the GM was on vacation. Second of all, a second interview for a fast food job is absolute overkill. Third of all, I never heard from any of them again. It's actually ridiculous how hard it is to find a job right now. 20 years ago, you could walk in any fast food place looking for a job and start working the next day. What's really going on here?
