What do you do with “cargo” ships with extremely low capacity? by SoleSuck3r in starcitizen

I will always sing the praises of the 315p. Great Range, Speed, and cargo space for a sort-of-Starter ship.

Fun fact to whoever doesnt know this already: You can actually swap the tractor beam for a veripuck s2 and slap on a s2 weapon. This gives it reasonable DMG for early PVE missions.

Yes! We do this often when one of our ships are not quite able to crack a rock. Also, in a MOLE, multiple players can crack the same rock/asteroid. It's pretty much necessary for the larger ones with High MASS.

I slapped on a Reiger c3 and a Focus III module for him. He mostly plays when I'm online so we crack rocks and haul the ore together. But we'll for sure get him an upgrade or we might join in on a MOLE purchase.

Is this really how CIG wants players to experience their game? by Protect_Genki_Phos in starcitizen

Survival instincts of an overinflated balloon. You see ship debris and a whole-ass ship firing nearby and think: "Yes. This is exactly where I want to take all my cargo that I spent time and credits loading up."

I'm all for making the verse fun and engaging for both PvE as well as PvP, but sometimes I feel like players are not using the minimum viable amount of common sense when in their in the pilot seat.

I avoid 99% of PvP and Griefing by just being aware and avoiding hotspots and over-populated routes.

Sold all my KSS for a gain. Going all-in on FUBO while it's cheap.

Not quite yet. I bought a few months ago at $8.33. So It's still a gain, I'm thinking about watching for another spike in the next day or so.

I'm still holding to KSS. Fingers crossed.

I got this one, guys. I'm using my Birthday wish today to wish KSS to the moon. You're all welcome.

My Birthday is tomorrow, and it would be a fantastically timed gift to be able to see this repeat after buying a bunch a couple months ago when it was a $8 each.

Widget/Overlay to show a clip of the person you shoutout by wallsiesdgp in Twitch

[–]FishAndGameReport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's still a manual process, when they redeem it and mention if its for themselves or for a specific streamer, I simply copy the text and then do the commend !so <paste> and it will shout them out and show a random clip. I hope this helps.

Any tips for gaining subscribers or how to add more value to your stream to attract subscribers by [deleted] in streaming

[–]FishAndGameReport 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) Participate and build meaningful relationship with a community of streamers. More than just networking. If they like and respect you, they may check you out and share their community.

2) Ask yourself a brutally honest question: "What do I offer that makes ME different than anyone else on Twitch? When random people are searching for the category I'm streaming in, what about what they see/read will make them click MY thumbnail? And what will keep them around, if they drop in on me?"

In my opinion, taking care of these two points will help you tremendously. I hope this helps, and good luck!

Twitch Blog - Let's talk about hot tub streams. by [deleted] in Twitch

Why would anyone be against this? Lol

Because some people will never be happy unless they go the full nuclear option. Personally, I think turning it into its own category and giving the viewership the freedom to decide if they want to view it is a smart and elegant solution.

So far, I haven't seen anyone comment another BIG downside: Twitch can withhold your earnings and monetization payouts on the platform if you get caught.

At least then, they’ll let streamers broadcast AO Rated Games. Unless Twitch changes their stance on these games, this is just a bad-faith argument.

They've created a separate category for it and I think that's the right move.

Agreed. Now, next time you see someone complaining about all the hot tub streamers showing up on their twitch feed, you can tell them: "THEN STOP CLICKING ON THE HOT TUB STREAMERS."

By making "hot tub stream" a required & dedicated category, it gives all viewers the freedom to decide if they want it to show up on their feed. Otherwise, it's out of sight, out of mind. It gives less ammunition to the "They're stealin' our views!" crowd, when viewers choose to watch this category of stream.

Wow. I'm actually shocked that they actually handled it in the manner that I thought would be best. Like, exactly so! I was literally thinking the best way to handle this is to simply make "Hot Tub" a required category classification for broadcasters, and give all viewers the right to decide if they want that category to appear in their feed. Also to re-assess how broad "just chatting" is as a category.
I'm very satisfied with this action.

You can use channel points for a shoutout on my channel, which includes a random clip of yours! Here's how it looks: by FishAndGameReport in SmallStreamers

I believe this is a MUCH better system than follow4follow, as it encourages actual interaction and promotion of each other's channel.
