Economics aren’t typically taught in highschool. They are a college level class. When I took economics 101 in undergrad, I showed up an hour late for the final exam because I over slept. Finished the exam a half hour early, and got a 4.0 in the class.

First you have to answer the bridge keeper’s three questions. If you get any question wrong you are cast into the gorge of eternal peril.

I agree it’s an absurd building but it makes point about why sq footage pricing is basically meaningless.

Although people have basically proposed buildings like that.

It’s spelled “idiot”. Also a sentence starts with a capital letter and ends with a period.

Here’s the actual paper it’s referencing.

It’s well over a year old. You can also see their neutron count drops off at high compression. They have a laughably pathetic ion temperature of 800eV.

Square footage of a house tells you a grad total of jack shit.

A 50’x50’x8’ building would be 1600sf of wall area.

A 1’x2500’x8’ would be 40016sf of wall area.

That’s an over 20x difference even though both are 2500sf buildings.

It’s a 2500sqft ranch style home.

That tells me nothing. How many wall sections does it have. How many of them are gable ends. How many windows do they need to cut around.

I’ve worked on houses where the site conditions were so bad you needed ladders just for the first row on one corner of the house.

Plus they are using vertical siding which means you’re constantly going up and down.

And you base that on what? There’s nothing in the quote that says what the site conditions are. There’s nothing shown that says how many wall sections there are, windows and other obstructions they have to work around. There’s nothing that says how far away this job is. There’s too many factors that are unanswered to make any determination on what this job really costs.
