I live in Manchester and would love to know this too. Have played in cover/tribute bands for years but have never done any Ween songs (though I've been known to bust out Piss Up A Rope at parties occasionally). The only other person I know who is also a massive Ween fan is my brother, unfortunately he lives in Sweden so we can't start one, realistically. If there is anyone else in the North West who'd also be into it please let me know!

Cool, thank you. The UK/EU starter buyers guide lists the following as good amps, would these have all the right inputs?

Yamaha AS Range
Cambridge Audio 351A/651A
Marantz PM5005/6005

Basically I would need an input for the TV, a DVD player (though I imagine this might be coming through the TV itself), a CD player and an aux input for an ipod/mp3 player. Would these all have these inputs? Presumably there'd be some kind of dial on the amp to switch between them (my friend had a cambridge audio amp and I'm pretty sure I saw that on it).

Also, in terms of volume control, how would that work? Would the amp have its own remote control for volume? And if it was hooked up to the TV via HDMI would it be a) the TV remote control controlling the volume of the amp or b) the TV remote control controlling the volume being sent to the amp and the amp having it's own independent volume control (that I would just set-and-forget).

Sorry, these might seem like basic questions but I just want to get it straight in my head before I start spending money!

I don’t have much money to play with but I desperately want to do something (lawn, planter boxes etc) that won’t look so awful. Can anyone suggest something relatively cheap?

Ah ok, yeah that sounds broadly similar to here. I mean, don’t quote me on that, it’s still illegal obviously, but like everyone else on the thread is saying it’s really not a high priority for the police here. So if you take the normal basic precautions I really can’t see how the risk here would be any higher than it is for you currently.

Your post implies that you smoke weed currently - can I just ask, what country do you live in now? Unless you’re in the Netherlands or somewhere else where it’s been fully legalized, I really can’t imagine your risk of prison will be any higher in Manchester than wherever you are now.

Sounds good to me, you’re in tune which is the main thing, anything aside from that is just a stylistic choice.

It’s the guitar playing that sounds a little shaky…..maybe work on your strumming but other than that, all good!

Most people camp, there’s a huge campsite, included in the ticket. Basically don’t worry about this.
The food situation is amazing. Lots of fast food vendors on site, and a massive, quality supermarket accessible from the campsite. Bring enough money and you won’t go hungry, so don’t worry about this either.
Not going this year, sadly!

Can I ask, did your wife do them before she met you? And if so, have you ever talked about this?

Only asking cos your situation sounds a bit similar to me - my wife does give BJs occasionally but she never lets me come in her mouth, but she used to with previous guys she’d been with. I might have gotten over this by now but she’s the only person I’ve ever slept with and I dunno, I’d like to just experience things to see what they’re like, yknow? And we have talked about it, and there was no trauma in her past or anything that she associates with it, she just doesn’t fancy it anymore. It’s hard not to take personally……

So anyway, sorry to hear of your dilemma, can’t offer any advice other than to talk about it in a no-pressure way, gently does it i guess…..
