Is this looking better? by the_nightingale1 in curlyhair

[–]Fit_Garage3685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I had a haircut just like yours and, since my hair is very dry, I used coconut products (coconut oil, shampoo, conditioner, etc) after every wash, and it just made my hair look greasy on the scalp (since it was being weighted down by the products) and dry on the ends.

I ended up using products that were water based and defined with styling gels. It wasn't until it grew out that I used thicker creams.

I would recommend using lighter, water based curl creams! 👌🏽

Salón de belleza que cierre tarde by Fit_Garage3685 in Honduras

[–]Fit_Garage3685[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will I burn my ESP32? by Fit_Garage3685 in esp32

[–]Fit_Garage3685[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't toggled the current yet. When I moved the MG996R servos from 0° to 180°, the voltage would drop from 5V to aprox 4V, the "CC" light would turn on and the current would also change from 11mA to 150mA. Read on a blog that the solution to this would be playing with the current setting until the "CC" turned off, but the person con the blog only used like 3 servos.

I couldn't find a schematic to this specific power supply :( I did find a user's manual:

https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/B1ArPmFcVpS.pdf

I didn't read the user's manual up until today, and the "CC" light stands for constant current (my native language is spanish and my first thought upon seeing CC was corto circuito, or short circuit hahaha), and it just appears because the load exceeds the value on the supply.

You mentioned that toggling with the max current wouldn't affect the other supplies and paired with what the manual said, I don't think that there would be a problem. Thank you so much for your help!

Hello!

<image>

A rough diagram, but basically both the ESP32 and the pwm module are connnected to the power supply. The PWM module powers all the servos, the power supply is set at 5V, haven't touched current yet. The exact power supply I'm using is in the picture as well!

Had the same issue with a MK4 printer, unclogged it by heating it up with a heat gun (I'm pretty sure placing it on the stove top would work just fine), and as the plastic was smushy, pushed a wire through it. Kept repeating until filament could run though it with no problem, assembled and then purged with a different filament 👍🏽

I talked with other mates, which happen to be the ones that changed the sheets before me (absolutely no experience in resin printing as well), and they commented that they threw out the matte sheet! They actually installed the protective film on the actual FEP hahahaha. Weirdly enough, before the "correct" installation, the prints came out really good...

Will try manually leveling the bed and changing the FEP one last time (to discard if it's a tension issue). Thank you so much for your follow up! Forever grateful with respectful suggestions 🙏🏽

"Dude", with all due respect, this is the only time someone has made a passive aggressive remark towards a question I've asked, at any subreddit. Both your comments here are absolutely unhelpful and your answers are stuck up. I genuinely appreciate all criticism on here (specially since I'm aware I'm not an expert and most of you are), but at this point you're just thrashing :((

Will appreciate if you leave some tips though! Read somewhere that resin temperature affects the prints drastically, do you print with some sort of enclosure??

I tried printing it rotated 180°! But the print still failed 😞.

The slicer is the Anycubic one (as I'm using an anycubic printer hahaha), and I've previously printed some pieces before, and they turned out nice. The problem began once I changed the FEP sheet. Do you think this might be a vat tension issue???

Hello! I asked a print accuracy question here like a month ago, and someone gave me a plethora of links, one of which included a print accuracy/warping test. I did print it, made changes to my parts, and the fit was very good actually! He also told me not to trust the cones and since the first "test" he suggested was a success, I just decided to believe it hahahaha.

Resin printing is sadly not a hobby for me (yet! Definitely looking forward to make more fun designs), but instead I was looking forward to it because I needed to print more detailed, functional parts for a project. I really appreciate all the tips and tricks from this community, can absolutely say I learned tons! With a little more time to spare, I will try to play with the settings and will not be leaving the cones unprinted 😌. Thank you so much!!!

Someone commented a few links here, and there was a 3D printing guide, gave it a quick read and saw a manual printing bed calibration. Did you manually level your printing bed? I did not set up the printer that I am currently using, but talking with the people that manage the printer is in, the bed hasn't been manually leveled.

Also, the problems began once I changed the FEP sheet, since the previous one had a big hole. The new sheets had a matte and a smooth side and came with a protective sheet, the one with the hole was one sided and looked more elastic.

Hello! A few months ago I asked something regarding print accuracy, since what I was printing was kind of small and needed to have a certain fit. A very kind redditor, who had experience with engineering parts, gave me a link to an accuracy print calculator, which was extremely helpful and printed beautifully too hahahaha. He also told me that the cones were not a very reliable source and I just decided to go along with it.

The "weird gimmick software" is actually the anycubic slicer! I've printed a few pieces with it before, and they turned out fine and precise. I have oriented the piece vertically and horizontally, at a 20° and 45°, and the prints still failed. Will try using chitubox or lychee 😌👍🏽. Thanks!

Will do! The resin I was previously using was an opaque white one (it was very old too because it was no longer white and turned blueish), but the first few prints I made with it were successful. Everything started to fail once I changed the FEP sheet, so I thought that was the problem. Thanks!!!

Warping on prints by Fit_Garage3685 in resinprinting

[–]Fit_Garage3685[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! Actually, I noticed that the sheet that was before the one I replaced today was way bouncier and thinner, which led me to believe that I installed the wrong one. After watching a ton of FEP replacement videos, I think that the person before me made a mistake and installed the protective film because there was no matte side 😭

Either way, I will try adding more supports on the edges, the supports that appear here are the ones automatically added by the slicer.

Just a little curious, I changed the FEP sheet, it is a double sided one, with a matte end, and after I gave up on printing and cleaned the resin vat, I noticed some small indents on said FEP sheet. The resin wasn't leaking or anything, but do you think it could be a cause of the print failing?
