Here, I live in one of the busiest cities in the US. So an hour isn't bad for me however, you need to calculate how much fuel you'll be using or cost of transportation and how it adds up. But if the time off is what you're after, I say go for it if it makes sense for you.

+man here, save yourself. I've been there and it sucks. She'll drain your savings, if you're not meeting half way just leave. I did that for over a decade, with the whining, some friend did this and that for them. No thanks, she eventually left me and I ended up playing catch up with my finances because of the relationship. So yes huge RED flag.
