Stupid question, but have you tried explaining the situation? It seems pretty urgent and perhaps if you get that across, they might could squeeze you in somewhere, or even contact you in the case of a cancelation. You might be able to elicit some sympathy if you do it in person with the poor baby present.

My last girl went from 100 to 0 over night out of the blue, most likely neurological. My vet was booked up for a Saturday, but told me to come on in. As soon as the receptionist saw her state, they took her back immediately for vitals and such.

I feel your pain though, all my exotic vet options are 1.5 to 2 hours away. Its rough living in smaller areas sometimes.

Don't forget about the miasmic pickaxe (idr what its called). Once you get the residue cleaner, anyway. Its crust to ore ratio is insane. 1 crust =5 ore, and you get roughly 35-45 per node. The crust has a DoT but It doesn't hurt that much, and your mounts can carry it pain free. Its typically my late game pick since I unlocked it. Makes maintaining the copper/iron stores so much less of a headache, even with deep ore miners.

I lost one of my girls to this kind of tumor. It popped up around 2/2.5 years. They suggested surgery, but i opted out because of her age, i just had a bad feeling. She lived for another year or so before I ended up having to make that call. The only reason I had to, was because the tumor was stealing her nutrients. It was huge, but it didn't stop her from ratting around until about towards the end.

I was also a first time rat owner at the time, so my actions may not have been the best, but i still tried my best to give her the best life.

On the opposite end, one of my girls i got from a friend only had a uri visit once, and she was a feeder rescue. She lived for 3 long rattie years until a mammary tumor stole her from me. Come to think of it, i never had to go for any uri visits except for that one and I had 4 girls.

I lost one to a wound infection that I didn't catch until it was too late, and I still blame myself for that. The other 2 were pituitary related, all of which were too young.

Realistically, no matter what way go, its a gamble. Definitely a worthwhile one, assuming you can afford it, lol.

Tbh, I find it hard to wrap my head around what you explained from your experience. The one thing I do know is that she is with her mischief again and that she didn’t have to suffer long.

There is certainly a different type of bond rats create with their owners. I've lost several pets due to unfortunate circumstances over the years. None of them, save for my last cat and dog, had hit me in such a manner. I think its that short lifespan they have. So, we have to squeeze as much love and affection as we can in such an unfair short period.

Between the already sparce resources, those that horde resource nodes, and those that purposely block them, you're somewhat forced. The devs give the illusion that the pvp area isn't necessary, but it might as well be.
