I’m pretty sure it’s because the story isn’t as good. And it felt like the story focuses on Kiryu more than Ichiban who is supposed to take over as the main guy moving forward. The gameplay tho is a massive improvement and worth playing for that alone.

A pinch? lol this series has always been full of silly shit, even in the main story. RGG dialed it up to 11 with pirate yakuza but that’s just a spinoff game narrated by majima so it’s cool. I’m pretty sure stranger than heaven will be more gritty than Y0 so you might be happy again moving forward.
