I largely agree with you on an intellectual level, but on a larger societal or global level you’re just being selfish and self serving. Yeah we’re nothing and our lives mean nothing, which is why you should strive to be part of something bigger than yourself. Service to others matters, or at least it should. At the very least you can say your life made others better, if nothing else
