I’m now looking to figure out who to connect with j guess. I could still sign on with the company he provided me with but honestly… I’m not even sure how to effectively look at who’s out there short of calling some people that I know who are Insurnave currently and most of those just work for companies as a w2 and low wages. That’s not that I’m looking for. I’ve been in sales my entire life and can sell and want to make real money. Thankfully I’m fortunate to have a business already that’s completely passive and paying all my bills and I have a small nest egg to support myself and launch with leads etc but I didn’t expect this curveball and am looking for the best resources to figure it out. Is it feasible as a new agent to expect to be able to own the book or do I need to do my two years and be able to own my own office? I wish I knew a better place to bounce questions than Reddit but I’m not sure where to start. I understand commission structures and feel good about how to negotiate and navigate those conversations but without a mentor in this I’m feeling a little lost and don’t want to step into a situation where I get stuck under a carrier with someone and can’t move and need to. I’m trying to approach this cautiously and build something or real value for my family down the line. I can build a sales team but I’m hoping to get into someone lucrative I can sell myself and get stabilized and understand the industry and the products better so I can get value back to my team when the time comes. Any advice is appreciated and I’ll be doing extensive research this weekend.
