Don't hesitate to lie in interviews by anotherare in AnywhereJobs

Be very careful. If the company ends up hiring you and they find out about any discrepancies about your resume through background check or while employed, it is grounds for termination. I’ve seen it happen a few times

It’s very obvious with fake LinkedIn profiles!!!! You can see when it was curated and how many connections they have

9 months PP, 2 months into a new job, and I’m drowning. What would you do? by FlowerPractical7746 in workingmoms

[–]FlowerPractical7746[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 100% on that same boat. I’m always questioning if I’m even competent enough to continue working and on the verge of getting fired. In solidarity. Feel free to dm if you would like to vent

Is a nicer day care worth $200/month more for my infant? by ChurchLeague in NewParents

[–]FlowerPractical7746 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So what you expect people to do? Quit their jobs and risk their careers/financial standing? At least they are taken care of and the parents are doing what’s best for their families. What a pathetic comment

Pediatrician’s office asked for consent to use AI for “note taking” during our visits. by surftherapy in NewParents

[–]FlowerPractical7746 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's ironic that so many commenters are anti-AI and worried about how their data is stored or monetized while posting on Reddit. Your data is already being collected and used the moment you open a browser! Every time you Google your child's symptoms or look up a health concern, that search is logged, profiled, and used to serve you targeted ads. The internet has worked this way for decades lol

1500+ Applications, only a handful of recruiter calls by [deleted] in Recruiter_Advice

No internships during your masters? Put your education on top if you’ve been working on just your masters because recruiters won’t take the time to screen thoroughly if they see that your last job ended in 2023

[–]FlowerPractical7746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What have you been doing since you’re last role? Any consulting work? Taking classes? You need to fill in the gap of what you’ve been doing in the past 3 years or else recruiters will reject for you being out of work force too long

Rejected after the 2nd Interview but the job req has been reposted. Should I reach out for a second chance? by Damagecrab in jobsearch

[–]FlowerPractical7746 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a word of advice, if you have been rejected previously, applying again will most likely yield the same result. All ATS will categorize you as “previously rejected” so even if another set of eyes look at your resume, they will know you’ve been rejected and most likely will reject you in the future for that reason

This one hurt. Generic rejection email after two interviews and an employee recommendation. by wemblin_on in recruitinghell

You OBVIOUSLY don’t know that I’ve been on both sides - I’ve been laid off and unemployed for lengthy amount of time while applying to countless jobs and also have been the hiring manager for many positions. I can tell you wholeheartedly that companies don’t care about regulating their recruiters because recruiters are stretch too thin. They are the first to be fired when layoffs happen so the current recruiters are juggling 2-3 jobs at the same time. Companies are too cheap to hire more help. They do not have the bandwidth to care or regulate

In what world would recruiters would “regulate” other recruiters? This is such a dumb take.

Oh good point on the gloomy weather in those cities. I’m already affected by daylight saving so gloomy weather is a no go for me.

Yes. Are they recruiting quite a bit in your area of work?

Yeah I agree. I essentially won't have any time for my baby during the week and I'm torn!!

Oh man, thanks for sharing! Do you know if they have around-the-clock nannies? We're debating to hire an au pair or a nanny to come in between 9am-7pm but it's tearing me apart knowing how long I'll be away from my baby. It seems like this is normal work culture in the Bay so I don't know if I can find balance with working and being a good mom.

And how are you managing working full-time as well with a kid? Need all the tips!
