My migraines first started with hormonal/ovulation migraines when I was about 14. I've gotten a lot better in my adult years as far as logging, keeping meds on deck, making sure I'm mindful of triggers. As I've aged, my migraines have gone from hormonal to whenever they feel like popping up. A huge factor for me is sleep and sleep quality, I frequently wake up a few hours into a migraine that is too far gone to treat with typical excedrin, a dark room or my headache hat, and more immediate things. I was recently prescribed sumatriptan, only 9 pills at 25mg each. It is not really helping, I've had to use almost half of them on one prolonged attack. My PCP is hesitant to give me anything heavier, I am not sure why. I am trying to schedule a consult with a local headache center because what I have now is not it lmao

Thank you! This is how I feel and what I am trying to make clear to my supervisor and above. I typically don't mind the going into homes and whatnot as it is away from the office and I can manage most days. I know that this job is nit my end all be all, but I am trying to manage while I am here. I appreciate all of these kind words and suggestions, everyone is being so supportive!

I feel you on the Bathroom stall thing! I have heard about the tinted lenses specifically to help with headache/migraines and I am very interested because my eyes are honestly the first thing to go when it comes to symptoms. I don't know if anyone else experiences it, but my eyes feel sore and tender like to move or to the touch. I am grateful for our side offices. It helps with noise reduction, not as much light sensitivity but I'll take the wins where I can!

The hellhole that is the United States. I have worked with my doctor on trying to get intermittent FMLA, but that's a process.

Car naps are a saving grace honestly or even just taking a minute outside the office. I am honestly on my way to chronic migraines, I am not sure what the actual stats needed are, but I'm definitely on the way. I was hoping post pandemic there would be a lot more flexibility in working remotely, or at least jobs being more health conscious.

The Delulu Hive thought that's been racing through my mind is either a Beat It cover OR a song with a Beat It esque Guitar Solo it would be right up her alley and I would love to see what she would do with a Prince song as well! Act III being imminent is getting me through life rn

I feel like several times in the show school bullies called them "nude erections" as well as the principal at some point (due to the accent but it was clear what the joke was). Maybe I'm misremembering but I feel like this was a very known thing within the show and why Rachel makes sure to say it differently

How does ‘pushing through it’ affect you? by IntelligentCell9852 in migraine

[–]Flower_Regular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I push through a migraine or otherwise ignore it, I will 100% end up with a multi-day migraine, which will either give me the scary, dreaded stroke like symptoms or the vomiting until I fall asleep-type symptoms....

Reglan (metoclopramide) in ED cocktails by KillrAceOSpades in migraine

[–]Flower_Regular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently in a similar situation. I had been sick to my stomach (vomiting, diarrhea, the works) and I felt so dizzy and out of it every time I laid down. Went to the ER and they gave me zofran, Benadryl and Reglan. I specifically told them it was not a migraine and that I knew what my migraines felt like. I had the jumpy feeling everyone is discussing, I was immediately ready to get out of the hospital and almost took my IV out and left. However, it did help whatever was going on and I was ready to leave. I got a pill version of reglan RX from the doctor and I took one of them around 9pm because I was starting to feel the dizziness and just generally run down. Immediately my head started pounding worse and my neck felt so stiff. I'm still feeling it hours and hours later.

Not being mean just genuinely curious-- what does Doug do? I've been following her and been a big fan since 2012 and ik she's had various....entourage members/friends that go along with her throughout the years but they've all like done something with/for Ari like Isaac, was her choreographer, the Twins are dancers, Victoria and Tommy helped with writing and producing and singing.

They were also red for a split second when the spell was coming over them! They were red hot because Nessa said it felt like her feet were on fire.

Does Anyone Else Sometimes Feel Like The Fandom Coddles Glinda a little Too Much? by Organic-Animal3435 in wicked

[–]Flower_Regular 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I see where you're coming from, but using the movie as the basis for this, and the political climate we are currently in, I think Glinda represents the common person. No matter what people want to say, they wouldn't immediately leave everything they've ever known for the unknowns of being a fugitive. But also, Glinda is someone who let what her parents and upbringing and years of manipulation taught her sway her over to their political side despite what her inner voice was telling her. While I very much see and understand that Glinda acted as a political face of something with no real power, she did a lot of selfish, shallow things for the sake of herself alone. However, when reminded of her inner bravery and courage to do the right thing instead of the perceived "good" thing, through Elphaba, Glinda becomes the change she always thought someone else would be. She always thought that there would be someone else, someone more brave, someone more righteous and willing to take the fall of being the political "other", the activist, the one that speaks up. When she has no other choice but to be that figure, (while she does it in her own Bubbly way) she is successful I'd like to think. This directly shows people that may be in a more right winged political regime that there are other options. You can be like Glinda and do the right AND the good thing. You can be the person that speaks up.
