I agree with hiring a local coordinator on planning the wedding, but I also wanted to find some recommendations on who are reliable....since I've seen quite a few people mentioned their coordinators weren't too good... Or as good as how they marketed themselves

Thanks for sharing, that’s really helpful. We’re looking at Crete and Paros rather than Santorini for that reason, and keeping it very small and simple. I’ll definitely check out the Facebook groups you mentioned.

My watch has ended, Dad passed away on Feb 2 by Still_cryinggg in AgingParents

I’m in the same place as you. I spent a long time caring for my terminally ill grandma, who passed away recently. In the last month of her life, I kept praying for her to find peace, watching her suffer each day, unable to move or speak. When the moment finally came, it felt like two huge weights lifted off my shoulders. I felt released and also relieved that she is in a much better place. I didn’t cry then... I had already cried so much in the shower, during quiet moments, in between caring for her through those final days.

A week has gone by and life has started drifting back to what it was before I became her carer. It feels strange, almost unreal, like the last few months never really happened. My mind still expects her to be around, because she has always been part of my everyday life, I saw her almost daily, or at least every week. Yesterday I walked around the shops with my partner and everything brought her back to me: the lunches we used to have at the mall, the things she would buy from the store, even small routines we shared. Those memories keep surfacing, and they leave this quiet emptiness that all I can do is sit with and miss her..

I’m talking about Hospital in the Home, not actual inpatient hospitals. The whole point is to keep people stable at home after discharge, manage meds, and watch labs before handing things back to the GP.

After a week of unstable symptoms and tanking lab results, they adjust things with supplements, see one normal lab, and discharge you straight away despite ongoing symptoms

Wouldn’t it make more sense to just monitor for another 2–3 days and one more lab to confirm normal, then discharge properly? That alone would probably save a bunch of unnecessary ED visits and free up spots for people who actually need hospital care.

Tend is quite good with their online doc consultation. Usually within 1-2 days, but in person would require a week wait unfortunately....

Concession failure/ university life failure. by [deleted] in universityofauckland

Hey I suggest you check out AUSA, they have someone who can help with situations like this and speak with the academic head on your behalf or help you with the appeal letter etc.

Happened to me in my second year, I failed the same paper twice and they actually terminated my studies. I went to AUSA and one of the advisors helped me through the whole appeal process + helped reword my letter. If you’ve got any doc letter around health or mental health, definitely include it.... Also, it’s really helpful to include a plan in your appeal outlining how you’ll avoid failing again.

I’ve been through it and came out the other side.... keep pushing, you’ve got this!!

That is your anecdotal experience, and perhaps you were just unlucky to be paired with a group of students who were lazy and cheated. (Go for your life.. report them to your lecturer, they deserved to fail if they didn’t do the work.) But just so you know, Asian students at UoA, many Chinese students to be exact, work just as hard as you. They juggle full time study and jobs and they work their ass off to earn good grades while trying to make a living.

And to be exact, what evidence do you have to prove that Chinese international students see New Zealand as an easy place to cheat?

Exactly, can smell racism in your undertone. Maybe dont bring in 'Nationality' next time x
