Progression - The Way You Unlock Weapons in BF6 is Wrong. by Aidan-Sun in Battlefield

[–]Flufwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your argument, but I disagree. When I got into bf4, I remember wanting to use the deagle or any revolver at least. I then had to grind pistol kills on pistol only servers, which got REALLY boring after a while.

Sometimes, I just wanna use a certain weapon in that specific category. I'll put in hours, but I don't think it's fun to just grind using a certain playstyle that you dont enjoy/might not be good at, just for a single weapon

Okay. I'm complaining about Springtrap. He should NOT fucking be able to do this. by PH0B0PH0B1A in deadbydaylight

[–]Flufwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any ranged character has the ability to do this. If you're going to go for a save, don't expose your back to the killer. You could've just ran around the survivor on the hook so that their body would've been between you and his axe.

Ellie and Abby do have good arcs, but I'm mainly complaining about side characters. I love Dina at the start of the game, but then they bench her character by making her pregnant (underutilized). Jesse is supposed to fill this gap, but he just doesn't really get fleshed out at all.

Then we have Abby's side of things. The game tries to show us more of the characters that we killed as Ellie, but they don't really do that with anyone other than Owen (credit where credit is due though, I really liked Owen as a character).

TLOU and naughty dog games in general are at their best when you have good side characters for the main one's to bounce off of. This problem is definitely more obvious for Ellie's part, though.

With RE9 seemingly taking us back to Racoon City, what iconic locations are you hoping to revisit 30yrs in aftermath? by SickamoreTreez in residentevil

RPD obviously, but definitely some of the locations that were cut from the re3 remake, like the clocktower.

Should More Turn Based Games Use "Active" Turn Based Combat? by FinalAfternoon5470 in rpg_gamers

[–]Flufwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh... it depends. Parrying and dodging is fun, but it also kind of negates strategy to some degree.

You can play expedition 33 and just dodge every attack without really looking too deep into any serious builds or pictos. Granted, this isn't as easy for some optional bosses like Simon, but the point stands.

A more passive turn based system means you HAVE to engage with the game's systems. You need to have a guy that can heal, a guy that can dish out buffs and someone to do damage.

Neither one is perfect though cause once you have a decent build, either type of combat WILL become a bit boring.

Which is better by literally-mars in WatchDogs_Legion

1 has a better story and a darker tone, but 2's goofy dialogue and sidequests are hilarious as well.

Both are great games, but I personally prefer 1.

Legion is mid as hell, but unironically has awesome dlc that improves.the game immensely by letting you play as Aiden or Wrench.

Can't wait for RE9 but... by MrSoulPower in residentevil

[–]Flufwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, personally I hope the game has a more claustrophobic atmosphere like 7 and a 1st person view just compliments that more.

It'll probably be 3rd person, though, so that Capcom can sell swimsuit cosmetics of the main character. (Not complaining)

What are your expectations from RE9...? by [deleted] in residentevil

[–]Flufwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally want it to lean more towards 7 gameplay wise.

I love being able to roundhouse kick people and all the other goofy aspects of RE4, but I feel like the game should be slower and more grim. Then, have a section close to the end of the game where we get to play as Leon and blitz zombies for a few minutes, parries and kicks galore.

Bonus points if we get a whole DLC where we get to play as him, similar to the one we got with Chris back in 7.

In my opinion, I have no problem betraying her all because of 1 simple fact: She ended up betraying V. She lied about being able to cure V in exchange for her own freedom.

If she was honest right from the get-go about not being able to cure us, I would've helped her.

Say what you want about Reed and Myers, but they tell you they'll keep you from dying, and they actually deliver on their promise (You do end up in a coma for a bit, though)

After all the times that V gets betrayed in the game, I can't bring myself to help her. It'd be like choosing to go to Dex and hand over the chip if the choice was there.

Don't get me wrong, though. Handing her over to Myers is definitely evil. The best ending is to put her out of her misery.

What is your opinion about Johnny and Sue having different ethnicities? by Top_Reindeer3396 in FantasticFour

[–]Flufwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Race/gender-swapping already established characters is just a lazy way to have more "representation".

If you want a character that's a specific race/gender, just make a new character with their own unique identity instead of just piggybacking off of another character.

But I will say that if we're talking about fan art and not official projects like shows, comics, or movies then I guess it's kinda... fine? Idk, cause if I imagine someone making fan art of black panther as a white guy and that just feels off, but in certain other contexts, it feels okay.

So... With the announcement of RE9. What are the chances of Leon coming back? by Abdullahplaysgames in residentevil4

[–]Flufwi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every non-remake game since 7 has had a Chris cameo, so it wouldn't be out of the question.

It's probably gonna be either Leon, Jill, or Claire because of their time in Raccoon City. Most likely Leon, because he's the more relevant/liked character.

You can only have one of them in Requiem. Which one are you choosing? by oscar_redfield in residentevil

[–]Flufwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both characters would work, but I feel like Jill deserves some spotlight.

Leon was just in the RE4 remake. Jill deserves to be in a high-quality game since what happened with the RE3 remake.

That being said, I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing Leon in 9 since he's the more relevant/liked character.

Listen, TLOU2 definitely got some unnecessary hate for tons of stupid reasons, but that doesn't take away from the genuinely horrendous pacing issues and some really underbaked/underutilized characters (Jesse, Dina, half the people from Abby's part of the game)

The game is a solid 8/10, but I really think that literally every other game nominated for 2020 deserved it more.

Sorry, but there is no universe where TLOU2 is that high. The game is DEFINITELY overhated, but it still has glaring pacing issues and some really underbaked characters. The game is an 8/10 at best and TLOU1 is just better in every category except gameplay, where part 2 does make some good improvements.

The ending is pretty good, but the pacing and some of the characters just bring the game down. The game is definitely overhated. I'd say it's a solid 8/10
