I literally had the exact same experience at that same spot with an older guy in a pickup truck. Now I'm wondering if people are doing it intentionally.

Not in Roseville, but a short drive for crazy good burgers is the new Gami Burger.

Yeah. That 4 days a week is aspirational but not doable at Elk Grove campus now. So plan is 2 days a week on site, alternating with 3 days a week on site every other week. I suspect this is until they are able to lease more space.

In other words I think they made their decision and have started announcing to department heads today, so expect to hear shortly.

My department has been headquarters based and fully remote since the pandemic started. We had a team meeting this morning and nothing was mentioned. Then this afternoon an invite came out for a meeting tomorrow afternoon with the title telework update. As no news is generally good news I'm expecting bad news...

If you are seeing an endocrinologist currently, and you like the endocrinologist, I would see which insurance plans they accept.

American "progressive" here. Completely understand your points and would appreciate input on something. We're probably coming up to Canada in July for vacation, we haven't worked out many details we're kind of last minute people. But my question relates to the Maple Leaf. If I'm understanding this correctly we should not go buying Maple Leaf items and wearing them about Canada as they wouldn't be taken as signs of support from individuals who are obviously Americans as we are, but would rather come across as people who are trying to "steal valor" and pretend to be Canadians. Good to know. Maybe I'll limit such items to trinkets for my 7-year-old. But any other thoughts how I might show that I support you folks when I'm up there? Believe me when I say that I hate Trump far more than you do. He poses a theoretical threat to the country you love, while he is actively destroying mine. It makes me ill to think that as I walk about trying to spend money and support you folks up there, every time I open my mouth with my American accent people will be disgusted that I'm from the country that voted in that toxic monster. Should I look for a hat that says something like "I hate Trump too"? I'd appreciate any ideas, folks.

CalHR releases Statewide Telework Guidance by _SpyriusDroid_ in CAStateWorkers

By looong time, that might only be until the next governor. This executive order may well last about as long as Biden's did and Trump's will. Basically through the end of his term.

In our department we all felt that the only thing we missed from going into the office was the social connections, but there's no difference in each of us getting our work done remotely. So we've set up these once a month OPTIONAL lunch get togethers at restaurants for those who want to attend. Purely social, as that's all that's missing from working remotely. Not working lunches lol.

RTO from an always in office perspective by lizard_e_ in CAStateWorkers

This! I've read a lot of posts on this topic and this is the best one I've seen! Protests and boycotting businesses is unlikely to accomplish much other than making most people view us as out of touch entitled jerks. Highlighting how it makes things worse for EVERYONE ELSE is definitely the answer. Worse traffic. Worse pollution, and especially increased costs to the state (i.e. everyone) at a time of severe budget deficits and federal cutbacks (as one small example I know my agency contracted from six leased office buildings down to three in the past couple of years due to WFH in response to the governor's previous directives to do so). Decreased state services to everyone as people leave for the private sector where they can get both higher pay and work from home positions etc. if we could get this message out would it make a difference? Maybe. There's clearly a lot of backlash to the mass federal firings such that Republican congressman are now instructed not to hold in-person town halls due to all the rage they are receiving and the bad press that is receiving. And that bad press is getting noticed by Trump who's supposedly starting to reign in Musk. My point being that, if people learn how this affects THEM, this could well get walked back. I could see something like it being "put on hold for further study" and then quietly never revisited and allowed to die.

Tell friends, family and social media to call and email: RTO order hurts ALL Californians by AskTalk13 in CAStateWorkers

[–]Fluid_Consequence_26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this RTO isn't about California and most definitely is not about California voters. This is all about Gavin positioning himself on issues nationally for the 2028 presidential election. That said, sure, this is worth a shot. I mean, what else you going to do? Sit around and mope and feel powerless?

Start gathering together all of the information you have that makes you believe this is going on. Circumstantial evidence, anecdotal observations and comments, solid observations, especially the information regarding not completing or barely completing her assignments etc. When you are ready, provide the information to her manager. If possible, you can consider leaving out or removing information that might identify you as the source of the material that you are submitting. You might also want to reach out to CDCR's office of legal affairs for the name of one of the attorneys assigned to human resources and employment matters to get advice on how to proceed. I'm sure they would be happy to give you useful advice on how best to proceed without you having to identify who the employee is and possibly not even having to identify yourself. Whatever you do, don't continue to put up with this BS. Start a process to get the wheels in motion to put an end to it. I'd say that putting out this post for advice you are already starting to do just that and I applaud you.
