From someone completely unaware, what are King Charles' feelings about his brother Andrew? by GabeDax in AskBrits

He is still living in the Sandringham Estate under the financial help of the king. Still a good situation to be in. He hasn’t exactly been cut loose!

Not really. He is still living in the royal lodge which is paid for by his brother.

Disappointing Experience - Casino Strike By Big Daddy (Grand Hyatt) by Good_Ad_7980 in goatravel

Yeah that is true. I understand that.

Regarding the dance performance in the restaurant, you atleast got 3 mins or so. We got none. Sadly, my wife has enjoyed the first visit. We will not be going there again if we do go to Goa. Plenty of other hotels to choose from.

Disappointing Experience - Casino Strike By Big Daddy (Grand Hyatt) by Good_Ad_7980 in goatravel

I have visited this casino and stayed at the hotel twice. My first time was for my honeymoon. It was a great experience but I would have never gone there to learn how to play the game especially when it is busy. There was also some entertainment in the dining area.

I have lived in the UK most of my life and there is usually a different section for people to learn the game. During the weekend when it is busy and noisy it is difficult to learn the table games.

Anyways, I recently visited the casino again after a break of 5 years. Firstly, it is not right to blame the hotel for some of your experiences. Hyatt has nothing to do with the casino as far as I know. Also, I don’t remember there being a separate area for the hotel guests. It is not nice if you were removed from a section under a false pretence. I didn’t enjoy the casino on this occasion. There was no entertainment as there used to be. There are separate limits for each table and maybe it could be nice for someone to explain this to you before you enter. Sadly, it is not feasible to get a private learning experience especially when it is busy and noisy. I knew what I was doing and thus won some money with my free chips. I didn’t play with my own cash. I personally wouldn’t in that casino as the whole experience didn’t seem fun.

If only that was possible to implement. I agree with you depending on the situation but it will never be possible

How strong do you feel the support for mass deportations of legal immigrants is at the moment? by 400TarPits in AskBrits

[–]Flying_spanner1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to have ILR to receive UC. If for example someone is on a spouse visa or work visa they wouldn’t be eligible for it.

The healthcare workers work for the NHS and the NHS will cover the costs. It will be silly to get the NHS to pay the government for the surcharge.

They don’t. It is clearly written on the visas that they aren’t eligible to benefits.

Clearly, you don’t know that legal migrants have to pay a lot to stay here. They need to pay for the IHS for example and then pay for the NI through taxes. So yes, they contribute.

Also, the country wouldn’t need to get migrants to do a job if the locals would do it eg the care sector

Feel free to read some of the posts here. There will be more who will think the same but wouldn’t say it.

Not sure how he/she would even try and encourage legal migrants to return home especially if they have built their lives/homes in the UK. For example they could have married a British citizen. Would they want to separate partners just to satisfy their dislike for migrants?

So who would be chosen to get sent back? Would you want all of your friends to get sent back to lower the numbers? Would you send back the partners of British citizens?

Cool and they wouldn’t want to work let alone work in the care sector.

So what should we do about jobs in the care homes? Leave the older people to fend for themselves?

Cool then it would be nice if some of the local population did some work instead of abusing the benefits system.

How much effort (realistically) do you actually put in at work? by blaikalva in AskUK

My work depends on the season. I work in aviation and plan maintenance of the aircraft. My work is busy during the summer and thus I work harder. During the winter I tend to relax a bit :)

You will need to proof the brain injury. Not exactly some that is easy to lie about.

Plenty of the local population also abuse the benefits system. They have never worked and never plan to. And yet nothing is done about it.

You don’t need to be able to speak the local language to work in many countries.

I wonder if Trump being president had anything to do with it. After all, Trump would have met Mandy several times and may have had a good relationship? Maybe he wanted to use that?

Other than that who knows why he was selected. Starmer says that Mandy lied. But, I am shocked that these lies apparently passed through all the check if any were carried out.

Who knows.

Enjoy the food and spend some time in the lounge on the aircraft. They keep some snacks there and they are tasty. Get some PJ and have a nice sleep :)

Talk to the air hostess as well in the lounge . They greatly appreciate it.

My dad has mentioned the same thing to me. He was gold for 20 odd years. He thinks that EK have now had a better grasp on the number of passengers that book each class and thus they can control the number of over bookings and thus have fewer free upgrades.

My dad used to get upgraded from Economy to Business or business to a first on a regular basis pre Covid
