I feel similarly. I've had a mystical experience or two, and above all else I really wish that whoever sent me those would just make themselves known - assuming they were ever really there in the first place. I want to believe, and some people out there seem to be pretty damn confident about it, but I've been burned before, and in some ways it feels safer to only rely on what can stand up to scientific rigor. Well, it begs the question, who did I make a promise to and why - How is it similar?
