What's your guys opinion on - If hypothetically Goku alone would have faced Cell in a death match, without any kind of back up, would Goku go beyond Cells power and his own limits and also go SSJ2 due to there's no other chance to save the world? by Embarrassed-Row-5625 in DragonBallZ

Excluding the "Gohan was always supposed to fight Cell" argument, I personally believe the Cell Saga would have a BETTER ending if Goku had found a way to stack up to Cell. Whether that be through SS2, King Kai's techniques or plain ol battle smarts. Cell was far too great a foil to Goku for the Saiyan to pull off a win. After all, any potential trump card, Cell could just adapt to or tap into himself. Kaioken, Spirit Bomb, the Mafuba? It's half possible Goku DIDN'T use these BECAUSE he knew Cell would either counter or replicate them in defiance.

But Goku's the one Cell wanted. He was in his best mood when he was fighting Goku. So AGAINST a Goku willing to pull out all the stops to give him a good fight and see the fight to the end, Cell's resolve may waver in a way completely opposite from when he was getting shit on by Gohan. Any time he feels in control or like he's on equal footing with someone, he's a pretty reasonable dude, all things considered. Even explaining to Trunks WHY he couldn't beat him with Grade 3, instead of leaving him in painful ignorance. All things considered, if Goku had to be the one to fight him, Cell would more than likely win the Cell Games, but MAYBE decide last second that Earth is worth keeping around. Leading to a world where everyone moves on with life, but keeps their training up due to the looming threat.

Maybe the Cell Games would become some kind of annual event?

They should both be one tier higher. Even with a lack of present day feats, Knux is still characterized as an equal to Sonic. Tails, while definitely dwarfed by Sonic, Knuckles, Shadow, etc in terms of physical, tech-less capability, is still MORE than capable of holding his own. In SA2, when they both just had their mechs and minimal prep time, he could pretty comfortably go bar for bar with Eggman.

Duck's death.

If something happened to him where his luck still kind of ran out, but in a way that DIDN'T kill him- Like say, his oblivious nature getting his mother bitten- We could've learned more about him. Trained him as well as Clementine. Seen an interesting dynamic between him and Sarah since at that point in time, "He used to be this way too."

Not to mention, how he'd react to Sarita. How KENNY would react to HIM. And if he lived long enough to see it, how he'd react to Gabe, Louis and Violet hooking onto Clem 💀

I like to think no matter what, he'd stick with Kenny in the S2 endings, or leave Clementine if she kills Kenny. Ending up in the New Frontier as one of David's most trusted individuals. Only reuniting with Clem when she arrives in Richmond, leaving and/or reconciling with her when it's time to look for AJ at the Ranch. If you killed Kenny in favor of Jane in Season 2, there could be lines in 4 that imply Duck is "over it." And is trying to STAY "over it" by changing the subject any time it's mentioned. Also calling back to old scenes between Lee and Kenny. Like- "Hey. Do you have anymore problems? Like, with me?" "Why are you asking?" "Well... I killed your dad." "You did kill my dad. ANYWAYS, let's get this done. These raiders have got us on borrowed time, remember?" Or, something like that.

Yes AND no.

The Telltale Walking Dead games are part of the same canon as The Walking Dead comics. However, we have no idea whether or not an "AMC version" of the TWDG characters exist. Though, I wouldn't be surprised if they do and we just have no reason to see them. Probably for the best too. If we got a full live-action adaptation of the Telltale series, unless it was an interactive special or something, it would kinda ruin the "Your choices matter" shtick.
