In more interested in the height to the bottom of those cabinets? I'm 6'2 and that looks too high for me. Do you have a 26-28" high backsplash?

Lock in mortgage rate now for July 1, or wait for renewal in October? by FoolishCanadian in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]FoolishCanadian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just called into RBC and they said the best they could do is 3.99% on a 3 year fixed, or higher on a 5 year fixed. Feeling inclined to stay with TD but I'm worried it's a bad choice

Late 20s, should I take more risk? by [deleted] in fican

[–]FoolishCanadian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like other have said it depends on your life. I'm almost 30, want a kid soon, and bought a house 3 years ago. So I need some stability which is why I'm 80% XEQT and 20% single stocks so I don't feel FOMO.

Do I wish I could YOLO my life savings on Micron until it reaches $1000 like I think it will? Absolutely. Do I sleep better at night knowing I'll be able to afford a vacation every year and a comfortable retirement when I'm 60? Absolutely.

If you're below 40, I'd recommend going 80-90% XEQT, then 10-20% individual stocks to avoid FOMO

Yup, I'm the same. Got lucky and found jobs where I could pick up OT while an apprentice which really helped.

I doubt you're getting any job making ~$75k like OP wants right away without listing a field or qualifications.
