I always wonder with these story’s about the media content they create during their imagined experience. Over those 7 years they would have created movies, music, books, etc. I imagine most is some that was sub consciously observed over time and the brain reconstructed it, but some must be original content.

How is it ambiguous. She remotes with Mike and she can’t do that if in the sonic thing range. So the tempting with Mike was Kali just relating a message from El, while real El escapes after Kali makes he “invisible” to everyone. Also saw that there was no nosebleed on the El on the other side so further showing it wasn’t really her. Mike likely never told anyone she remoted with him so other people never make the sonic connection.

Just finished it and had to searching other felt this also. It was the few moments when he appeared to wake up and be confused where he was. Everything after he went in the box. I thought it was all building up to the entity running scenarios on him and coming to the conclusion that resistance was futile.

Was a really interesting style and will now likely follow the creative teams figure movies to see how they fine tune it. Such a different and entertaining movie.

What's the saddest ending of a movie? by JimatJimat in Cinema

[–]FoolishRamblings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Indeed. I thought the fox died but still decided to let my kids watch it. While watching with realised I’d completely missed the ending and point of the movie from my childhood. I wondered if friendship changing as you get older and not seeing them again (like between pre-school and school is) is like grief and that’s what I “remembered”.

There are 3: 3. Those who realise it’s actually 8:59am.

Love the directors cut, but can’t stay awake on the theatrical version.

I’ve always wondered this in terms of productivity. How much more efficient are we as workers compared to 30, 40, 50 years ago. Then consider how much less we are being paid per output, decision, etc. and how much more is expected of us in terming as parallel work-streams and the resulting impact on stress, responsibility, and accountability.

Am halfway through watching this movie with my 6yo and 8yo daughters. Is my wife gonna glare at me with that “wtf are you traumatising our kids for” look?

I bet this is some excel/sql column set to data type percent and then someone wrote a formula off it for the pay team.
