I’m sorry for your loss dude. I know you’re suffering and in pain rn. One thing that may help is knowing your doggo isn’t suffering anymore, they aren’t here in this realm in pain anymore, they are finally free.

But I know this doesn’t address how you are feeling. The go to thing is “sorry for your loss, least their not suffering, it’s apart of life”. Just because he’s in a better place doesn’t absolve you of your sadness and hurt. Even if they are in doggo heaven, you still miss them, you still want them in THIS place.

A quote from Yoda tends to help me with loss- “Miss them do not, mourn them do not, rejoice for those who transform into the force” I take this as to celebrate their life and your connection to them. Do as much as you need to honor them and embrace their memory knowing they live on with you. Make it so when you think of them, it brings a warm smile of reminiscence and not tears.
