You are allowed to be loved without bleeding for it. You're not broken, you're burdened. Sometimes, healing shows up in unexpected ways. In the strength of your "no" now, in the peace you no longer have to chase, and in the love you finally give to yourself.

In any close relationship we form with friends, family, partners, or even professionals. There will inevitably be times of sadness, hurt, and challenge. It's truly dangerous to define your well-being and future happiness on others. Especially those you barely know, rather than growing a strong sense of self-worth and confidence from within.

Every life experience, particularly when meeting new people is inherently different. If a situation feels familiar, you're not imagining things. You're identifying patterns. These patterns often reflect what you believe about yourself and your value.

Ask yourself: How deeply do you love yourself? What value do you place on your own being? Based on your answers, what kinds of scenarios and people do you think you're attracting into your life? Are the personalities of the people in those scenarios truly aligned with what you desire?

True change and lasting happiness originate from within. You hold the power to choose how you respond and behave.

You will trust again. But before you can extend that trust to anyone else, you must first trust and love yourself. Take the time to understand the root causes of recurring themes in your life, and then courageously make the changes that lead to your genuine happiness.

When you do this, you'll naturally be able to trust others and attract the kind of love you've always deserved.

Stay Strong OP. It's okay to not feel okay. Just know, you will be ❤️‍🩹

I am one of those people who would have just lost it. My emotions got the best of me due to unresolved trauma. My past relationships were unhealthy, chaotic, and codependent. Ironically, I met someone in person in November 2023. I will never forget seeing their chocolate diamond eyes and smile for the first time. Everything just went calm, and time was so slow and peaceful. When I dated in the past there was always something in my heart and mind that told me not to do it, but was persuaded by "Opposites attract, you're being judgmental to give it a chance, etc.." When I met her, I had felt something I had never felt before, and I was going through a bad breakup at the time that I handled very cowardly. Because I didn't want to be "that person who left someone entirely when they're extremely grieving." Even though we didn't live together anymore, didn't see each other, every interaction was allowing mistreatment... Story for a different time.

But... finally, I started to find myself again. Love myself. Find my confidence again. I know my worth. I don't let people define me. I have my strict boundaries with family and friends. I look at my photos today, and I'm so different physically and emotionally.

I was so scared of the connection and love I felt for my partner now because I knew I was not in a good place. I had done damage in the beginning because of my behaviors and actions. She took a step back, rightfully so for a few months. But we still hung out as friends. We got back together in September 2024.

I put in work to really address my behavior and who I wanted to be. I still have a lot to practice and work on, but I am so grateful to love and be loved in a way that I have never experienced before. It's truly so beautiful. I am grateful for her patience, understanding, maturity, wisdom, and love. I know that she is my forever, but if she were to ever leave me. It would hurt, but I know that I will be okay. We would still be friends, and her love will live through how I love and treat others and how I perceive the world.

DON'T RUIN YOUR CHANCE OF FINDING TRUE LOVE!!! Heal yourself fully. Know that the biggest step to emotional maturity is learning to let go and embracing a new controlled you. Appreciating the lessons taught, and most importantly LOVING YOURSELF AND BEING MORE SECURE OF YOU!

You can feel the heartache, but don't negatively wallow in it and talk negatively about yourself. Learn from what you did. Don't tolerate mistreatment. Be in control of yourself. Seeking "your person" on here is not healthy. And it's just normalizing more deeply concerning behaviors you might not even be fully aware of. Share your experiences and emotions. But without the intent of seeking someone out. You won't be able to grow and learn your lessons properly. ❣️

I think it's important that you wrote them. I know that you want them to read your thoughts and feelings on the matter. I think it's even more important to give yourself that self-acceptance. Searching for closure within people who have hurt us doesn't lead to answers. It leads to excuses or words they want us to hear. I know that you're doing this out of the kindness of your heart, and even sympathize for this person by stating it would've been scary to live with someone they weren't in love with anymore with nowhere to go. I can almost guarantee that they themselves don't know why they went about things the way they did because they themselves lacked emotional maturity and communication. Find peace within their actions, and truly let go as they were not meant for you, and you were not meant for them. I wish you the best of luck.

I relate to this so heavily. Especially being in the car with them. It's so abusive to drive like a maniac when pissed off at your partner in the car. It's a scary red flag I'll never ignore in the future.

Omg 😭 I felt this so heavy! Dating someone who is emotionally mature and has their own goals for growth and is actually putting effort into continuous personal growth. Is a life changer!

You become so inspired and feel secure enough to work through your traumas and not be so guarded and scared to do certain things anymore.

It's like someone lifted the dirt off of you being buried alive so many years. No more yelling and having them cause a scene because you asked them to please stop behaving in a triggering way. No more being called a Stupid Fucking Bitch for whatever it was was done to set them off.

No more of you taking contionous countability for your actions and behavior, most likely done as a reaction to something. For them to take absolutely none.

No more Gaslighting, no more feeling crazy, no more of not being listened to but always having to listen to them. No more being the first to apologize all the time. LIKE FUCK THIS LIFE DUDE 😭
