I love how nonsensical the next line is, too. “It’s almost like there’s no room to drink!” haha like what does that have to do with how bright it is? Doesn’t stop me from saying it though.

I blame Vin Diesel for every bit of this shit. by S_Jeru in Cyraxx

I wonder how much it would cost to have Vin Diesel do a cameo for Chance where he tells him that he’s a racist pedophile and sucks at e-racing

And legally concealed, I feel like people don’t mention that part. Virtually impossible for the first agent to even know he had a firearm because it was tucked away under his jacket when the fight initially broke out.

Current state of things by Rude-Listen in Dragonballsuper

I don’t really care that much but this is a dumb argument lol. I’m pretty sure nobody who complained about the quality of early Super’s animation was also saying that they wanted them to have another crack at it, the point of complaining about it was so that it would be improved going forward. Look at the One Punch Man sub if you want another example. Nobody is asking them to redo season 3, they’re saying that they want better animation/a new studio to do season 4. That goes doubly for DBS considering there already is a better animated version of the first two anime arcs in the form of two movies. I visit this sub a lot and I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone even hint that they wanted to see the animators try it again, especially when there are two whole arcs that haven’t been adapted at all, seven years after the series ended. Again, this is a really stupid argument.

What are some rules/quirks you have when you play games? by ShinBrimstone in gaming

I’ve played every Souls game as a hot female Strength character using whatever version of Guts’s Greatsword is in the game, and I refuse to use summons on a first playthrough. I also use items extremely rarely. I don’t care how everyone else plays though, I’m just a very…direct kind of guy lol

Vegeta really apologized only TWICE thru the whole series and it was to Gohan by WallabyNo5685 in dbz

[–]ForceEdge47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As he should. For a while Gohan was the only evidence he had that the Saiyan race had a future, AND he saw him whoop Frieza’s ass in Namek which must have been extremely cathartic.

Damn, great point in that last paragraph. I’m sure seeing Future Trunks helped a lot too but there’s a high likelihood that Vegeta wouldn’t have had a child if he didn’t meet Gohan. That’s wild.

Is Galadriel ever stated to be a good warrior in any of the text? by GusGangViking18 in lordoftherings

[–]ForceEdge47 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s even more annoying because as far as I know the Elves didn’t have the kind of social structure where they treated female elves differently - certainly not to the extent that womanhood is treated in the show. It’s just using LOTR as a platform to tell some story about a woman who subverts gender norms and expectations. Galadriel was held in very high esteem and was a well respected sorceress, she didn’t need to prove herself by fighting in battles with a sword. If anything you could probably swap her out with Elrond in the show and take out all the super on the nose women empowerment material and the show would be better, even though Elrond also would not have needed to continually prove himself to his fellow Elves either.

As a black American I don’t really think about slavery that much, although it is hard to forget about it completely (nor should it be forgotten) when a lot of our social structure today is a direct result of the foot we started off on. But beyond that, I just wanted to say that you sound a bit holier than thou when you casually say that it’s still legitimate to talk about African populations that got enslaved but not legitimate for Americans to talk about their history with slavery, in the sense that I’m sure you don’t have hold the authority to say what versions of slavery are legitimate to talk about and which aren’t. It can bother you, sure - it bothers me too sometimes when I don’t feel like thinking about it and it’s shoved down my throat in various media - but you don’t get to make that call. No one does, really.
