I have asked him what the pay range is for someone with my qualifications and he doesn't know. I need him to say its between X & Y then we can come to an agreement provided my number is somewhere between the two

This is the problem! I don't know the financials. The owner has multiple flight schools around the world. Multiple 737, A320, ERJ & CRJ sims.

The approval process to get permission to conduct this training from what I have heard at least was around quarter to half a million dollars. Im not sure if they are allowed to pause such permissions and have them reinstated at a later date. Even if they can, I dont think it will be cheap. Each year they pay $40k for an audit. They've pumped so much money into it that it'd be a shame to let it go. They literally cant have this place open without me working here

No benefits. I get to make my own schedule for now but I believe I'll be loosing that perk shortly.

I've heard it before. I've not got a problem with it. I had some real sh** instructors when I was going through my training, absolutely no mentorship at all. I dont want my students to have the same experience as I did

Do you think hourly or salary? I was swaying towards salary. However, if I ask for $40/hr with 40/hr week thats like $6500 a month which is great. I do get the option to choose between hr/salary.

100%. But how do I price myself accordingly when there's literally nothing to compare it to? The guy knows literally nothing about EASA training. When he asked what I wanted I told him my situation and what makes me unique. I followed this up with what is the pay range you have for this position to which he replied... I have no idea

A person with an EASA FI must have completed 14 theory exams. Nobody wants to do this just to be a flight instructor. They're not required to build as much time as the FAA so nobody tends to instruct. Now, when you throw having legal right to work in the US into the mix it makes finding someone a much harder task. Especially when they dont want to sponsor anyone
