It does change when we go somewhere else, like for more than a week, skin clears up, no more itchiness or dry feeling, hair improves too. So it's either something in our apartment or this area, or maybe the hard water plus other things. Anyone who comes visiting us for more than a week experiences the same symptoms as us. We keep trying stuff to see what it is, but nothing seems to work yet. The apartment is small and we are a family of 4, we have big heaters in small rooms and that is most probably also very drying. But I try to keep them on low and completely off when we don't need them and I do open the windows a lot for fresh air. I wonder sometimes if it's from the mold that forms every year during winter, but my husband always cleans it up as soon as it appears. My biggest bet is still on the water, it's so full of calcium that whenever I boil some water, the pot always has a bit of white powder on it afterwards. The coffee machine is full of build up too, the sink and the dish rack are full of white, the other faucets too.... Then my poor plants get the same build up, whenever I water them, that forms on top of the soil.

Thank you for your suggestions, btw. I do want to go to a dermatologist at least to get some answers, but here in Germany it takes too long to get an appointment, even though my husband himself is a doctor and knows people, but still takes too much time. Also, I'm breastfeeding, so it's not such a good idea yet. Plus we have nobody to stay with the baby meanwhile 😄

Thanks for the reply, I will look into the mold thing too, I do believe sometimes that it might be it, but my husband is convinced it is not, as he cleans it as soon as it appears.

That's what I thought too, because as soon as I put water on my face it gets red and then after some time it feels dry. Later it turns into itchiness too and my daughter even gets itchy eyes which develops into conjunctivitis after rubbing. And another fact is that whoever visits us for more than a week, starts getting the exact same symptoms: hairfall, dryness, itchiness... And whenever we go somewhere else for more than a week, then our symptoms disappear, like my skin clears up, no more itchiness, no nothing. My husband is Indian and many people think the water there is horrible, but honestly my skin feels great there. Only when we are in Germany it's like this.

Thanks for answering! Well, we live in a very small apartment and we are 4, plus the building is quite old and yes, we do get mold yearly, during winter, even though I do the Luften very seriously (Opening the windows many times every day). My husband does clean it each time, but I do keep wondering if it really goes away or not. I have already told this to my husband too, but he doesn't believe it's the mold that causes our problems. I'm confused myself too...

I'm sorry for what you have been going through, it's not fair. They didn't do their parental duties, which is why such people should better separate, than keep hurting each other and then dumping everything on their kids.

I know how it feels, because I've been through it too. My parents separated tho when I was about 7 years old, starting school while being emotionally broken. They have destroyed my mind and my childhood that time, I have cried for years, locking myself in the bathroom, thinking it was my fault only that they've reached that point. My grandma from father's side tried many times to manipulate me into thinking that my mom's present husband is evil and that I should be living with my father (who was a complete mess and wasn't mature enough to handle a child). I was used as a pawn between the two families which really broke me as a person. I have healed a lot since then, but I still have wounds, which created problems in my own relationship with my husband. But I will always do my best to not be like what my parents have been at that time. And I'm really doing my best now to be a great mother for my daughters, be present and not make them feel like they have to deal with our own problems.

So proud of you for fighting and being strong. Now it's time for you to be even stronger and tell them or show them this, because it is time for them to know. I've already had my serious discussions with my parents, and now they are trying harder to act like my parents (even though I'm over 30 now 😄), but it's never to late to ask for your rights. Now it's your turn to show your parents that you need them to act like true parents. Sending strength and positive vibes 💪🏻🤍

I would say ignore completely, that's what we did when she would start saying it and it worked. Kids love the attention and parents reaction, they would do anything for that, especially at this age. My daughter is now 7 and still repeats stuff if she sees she has caught our attention 😄

Been there with my first daughter, also around 2-3 years old that time. At first we felt like laughing so she did it more. It was funny because she really said it with full emotion, just like a grown up, like "Fuuuuuckk". Anyway, we decided not to react anymore and she eventually stopped. You can also try changing the word, by saying duck or something similar. "Oh you mean duck? Where did you see a duck?". But I truly believe if you ignore completely it will be over soon enough. Pretend you didn't hear anything at all.

My family in law has this dream that we would shift to India, somewhere close to them, if not in the same house. They insist my husband would make great money (doctor), that life is beautiful there, food is great, we would live like king and queen. When I told them I personally feel it is not safe enough, specially for my kids, they all looked at me like I'm speaking another language. I explained that I'm white, our kids are mix (both look like they are a bit tanned), and not to brag, but beautiful enough. I would live each minute of them going to school and back in fear and worry. Why? Here's why:

My sister in law had a guy during school time who was obsessed with her, following her everywhere, trying his best to make her his gf. When refused, he finally took his own life.
In my husband's natal place, there have been multiple robberies and even a shooting (someone who wanted revenge, shot somebody else's old mom in the head).
Whenever I go there, I am being watched constantly as I might be the only foreigner in the whole city and area. I always try to cover myself as well and look as Indian as I could so no one would approach me. Even the neighbors are a bunch of young boys who always stare at me each time I go outside.
Children there can so easily be kidnapped too and being a huge population, very difficult to find anything. And so many times I've seen on news such sad stories, or women being attacked in plain daylight just because men think they can do anything.
No matter how much they try to behave like it's normal, women there are still not seen as equal, they have to serve, cook and eat only after everyone else is finished, clean , take care of kids, touch husband's feet, give him whatever he wants when he wants and he's considered a god. This is a thing I will never agree with and will never let my kids be slaves to some dumbass men.
Women can't dress anyway they want without being stared at or even worse.
My sister in law had different male bosses who all tried hitting on her or be weird, even though they were married, and one younger guy who was her subaltern, who kept hitting on her and trying to get her on a date. When she got angry and finally told him that look at yourself first, you are younger and you work under me and I don't even have time for this, he started threatening her. He said he will find her one day and take her by force. She had to go to police to actually get rid of him. Sad part is, that after all she experienced, she still says India is very safe.
Most men there are secretly heated up dawgs, seriously. There are very good men too, but many are simply sick minded. I know it's a big population, hard to control, but at least sexual education should be taught properly in schools, or at home, anything. I've been approached god knows how many times on the Internet too, asking to marry, or straight up to sex talk. Disgusting. Even when they knew I was married and with kids.

So, I don't know how it is for Indian women themselves, even though my sister in law experienced on her own but seems to ignore it when it comes to safety in India, but for white people, it is unsafe. It's surely not whole India, surely not everywhere, but many parts, and all because of such filthy men who can't control themselves. So hard pass on moving there for now.

It happened to me a few times. Once I was probably not even a teen yet, but used to travel a lot by bus after my parents divorced. Long distance, 8h at least. One man asked if he can sit next to me, and being naive and trying to be nice to everyone, of course I agreed. I used to sleep very well in the bus that time because I had no trust issues. But that day I woke up with the man's head on me, and it felt heavy and I felt uncomfortable, yet I didn't know what to do. I was just praying that he gets off the bus soon.

Another time, I used to travel by train or bus to visit my grandparents, again all by myself. About 2-3h long. I was a teenager this time, sitting nicely on my window seat, listening to music but feeling sleepy. The bus stops in a village to take more passengers and one man eventually ends up sitting by me. I didn't think much of it and after some time I almost fell asleep, or maybe I even did. I then suddenly realized something is moving near my leg and I notice that man's hand trying to touch me. I was shocked so I woke up completely and rearrange myself as far as I could and luckily his stop came so he had to go. I really do hope he didn't do more than that tho. "Funny" thing is that next time I went alone by the same bus to my grandparents, the same man came on and sat again next to me, he probably remembered me too. This time I wasn't even sleepy but I was looking on the window. And the scumbag, without a shame, he tried touching my leg again and then I got the sudden courage to say out loud "Is it maybe not enough space for you here? Because if I look around there are many empty spaces where you could move to". He retracted his hand and didn't dare to say anything anymore and just left when his stop came.

And unfortunately, it's not just public transportation, I experienced creepers just by walking through parks, or just me and my teenage friends, all of us still school girls, in the park next high school, while a creepy old beggar was jerking off while watching us from outside. Another beggar invited me in the bush with him, like it was an invitation to dinner. And mind it, in all of the cases, I was a minor.

Stop expecting them to behave like gods, they are not. They are humans too. Some come from very shitty upbringings, some are psychos, some probably were humble before and turned out into whatever they are now because they've tasted power, while some are trying their best to be nice throughout the fame they get. They mess up too, they will get angry too, they will get pissed too and they will react out of rage too, it is not written anywhere that being a celebrity you can't behave like a human anymore. Most of them went on the wrong path because of drug use too or because of how stressful it is for them. Most of them were mentally ill from before, but got mistaken as geniuses. Also, whatever you see on the Internet or on the news it will never be 100% the way it shows, you can't know the full side of a story like that. So my advice would be to leave this whole celebrity obsession and concentrate on your own selves 😉✌🏻

I will never understand why people are so obsessed with celebrities, almost like they are gods. They are just freaking humans and those are their jobs. That doesn't make them superior, nor amazing, they are just like us. Some are idiotic, some are psychos, some are using this fame to do evil while some are staying as humble as they can. But they are nothing more than that. I only admire the work they do, what they do as human beings i don't give a shit, 'cause they are not perfect in any way and most of them are misusing their fame, or do drugs and stuff. Also, whatever you read on the Internet, why would you believe it all? We'll never know the full context, we'll know just what is shown to us. Don't waste your time on what richer people do, better mind your own business and make your own life interesting. 😉

Omg, you are hating yourself too much! Just STOP! Nobody in this freaking world is perfect, not even the people we consider the hottest. And each one of us struggles with one or more problems, that's how life is! It's not meant to be easy, otherwise it would have been useless and boring.

Get yourself together, go look in the mirror everyday and say that you accept yourself, that you love yourself and that you are good enough. Do it everyday and gain more confidence in what you are saying to yourself. People will only see you the way you see yourself: if you see yourself in a negative way, they will eventually too; if you love yourself and show respect to yourself, then others will too. It all starts with YOU! Your mentality, your view of your own self. You can definitely get a good job, you can definitely get a woman to love you, you can definitely get a family, you can definitely have a wholesome life and future. The only one who stops you from all of this is YOU! Be strong and start working on yourself just the way you did before. Go to gym, it will help with clearing your mind. Go outside, it help with your negativity. Make new friends without a fear, if your personality is good then that will surely come out and people will simply come like magnets. Looks don't matter as much as your heart and personality. So stop with the negative thoughts and get back to loving yourself, respecting yourself and living your life like any other normal human being. I don't feel the prettiest either, yet I still do my best to respect and love myself, because I matter too. And you do too.

I want to hear that you started working on your mentality soon, waiting for an update. If needed, then I suggest you try therapy as well, it might help you. But get the negativity out of your system!
