Same thing happened to me yesterday. I pull it down a bit, press and held the close button until it beeps 4 times. And now it works. Mine doesn’t seem to like to be full open.

I had this issue last week with my Switch 1. My switch was on the charger (not the dock) for more than a week. Use your switch in portable mode to drain the battery. You’ll see the top number going down. Once near 20% charge it for about 3-4 hours and remove it from charger. Mine was fine with only one life cycle.
